Ocassionally it takes 11 hours and about 30 retries to get the next set of work. Is this normal ?

I had the second C2D here at work trying all night to get new WU's - restarted the service this morning and it got two first time 
@Rich - SMP is back up and running (well was when I left home this morning)
I think it's an over heat problem on the chipset as the bedroom is in the mid 30's from late lunchtime with all the windows closed due to hayfever
. I'm going to knock the OC back to 2.4 ish durring the day to see if that helps but I need to make sure I hit the deadlines....

Doesn't leave me much room if it does a restart one lunchtime.
Might try aiming a fan at the Abit Silent OTES™2 see if that helps.

Well, it's not normal, but occasionally they have server troubles which can cause delays, next time it happens check the server status, there is a page for that at FaH.

If your Internet connection is working the problem is most likely at the server end.

One of the ones on the server at SQN has been trying to get a work unit since 1816 yesterday evening.

You can check the status of the server(s) it's trying to send the results to here
/me looks around for people waiting for the news 
don't worry people - it will be coming, not for a good hour or so though due to the wrong kind of snow/leaves on the track/signal work at Clapham Junction/Rich being in general demand every time he comes home (delete as appropriate) so if you're waiting up for it don't wait up too late

The most common cause of the (wininet) error seems to be if the "USE IE SETTINGS" setting is set to "YES" in the client config.
There are quite a few posts on the Folding-Community forum with same problem and changing the setting to "NO" seems to fix it.

171.65.103.100 is showing a net load of 222 (85 is considered high )
171.64.122.136 is showing a net load of 60 - so try resending.
Stop client (or stop service)
make shortcut to .exe
rightclick shortcut - select properties
add -send all after the path (in the target box)
apply and close
double click shortcut.
Fahcore will now run and try 3 times to upload the wu's. It will then close itself
run client (or restart service)
rename shortcut to send all and keep it for the next time
