Food Processor Advice

Went into argos today and got a blender to make smoothies with as i'm going on a raw vegan diet. However it doesn't do food processing like chopping and grating so going to take it back tommorow. Can someone offer any impartial advice as to which to get? Are the processors that offer both blending and processing just as good as seperate machines? It seems the more expensive processors all offer blending functions.

Do the more expensive ones off anything that the lesser price ones don't? Only using it for myself so don't necesarily need a huge one.

I don't want that. Been eating **** like that for most my life. I'm 35 now and feeling the consequences of it and want to live past 55 and not die of heart disease.

I mean what looks more life giving, that **** above or this :-

the cooked breakfast contains 3 of your 5 a day. plus an egg (lots of decent stuff in eggs).

shouldn't overload on fructose, not good for you.

so fried brekkie wins ;)
 
If going Vegan is purely for health reasons its not acctually as good as you think.

Men need meat.

That's debatable. I've done it before for a week and felt much better than on a meat diet. Now doing it for good but want a processor to chop veg and greens up to make it easier to ingest.
 
That old chestnut, I wish someone would do a proper study of a balanced varied diet compared to a balanced vegan/vegeterian I know what I would bet on.
Your normal diet is probably very poor, so why wouldn't you feel better, doesnt mean it's the best though.

I'm going to take a stab in the dark here and guess that you didn't just replace the meat with a veggie substitute, but you had a totally different meal?

that's not to say it's pointless though, if it makes you feel better/adopt better eating habits then it's all good..

Mainly just nuts, salad and fruit.
