Food Processor Advice

I'm surprised that people think making it to 55 is an achievement. My grandad smoke and drank his way up to 82, so I am sure my considerably healthier-than-his living will see me hit 90 (plus the advances of medicine).

Your Grandad probably ate a much healthier diet than we do today. A tomatoe today only has 1/7th of the Vitamin C and other nutrients than from one just 50 years ago because of GM engineering, toxic pesticides and industrial farming.

Ha to the idea of him eating veg or fruit, and even if he did and it was 7x healthier than modern day versions, pretty sure 65 years of heavy smoking and drinking would far outweigh any benefits. He was a proper chain-smoking lush.

So why don't you just eat less unhealthy food then? Simple.

It really is that simple... some people just like fad diets because they think it'll miraculously cure all ills :/

That old chestnut, I wish someone would do a proper study of a balanced varied diet compared to a balanced vegan/vegeterian I know what I would bet on.
Your normal diet is probably very poor, so why wouldn't you feel better, doesnt mean it's the best though.

They have done studies. Many many studies. Time and time again the Mediterranean diet has come out on top as one of the most healthy diets you can eat. Lots of fish, good fats (olive oils, avocados, oily fish etc...), lean meats, fruits and lots of veg, red wine and fresh grains produce. Perfect.

Just eat a well rounded diet, keeping processed foods, di and tri glycerides out of your diet, and you're on the highway to happiness and health. Carb fat and protein should be consumed, and neither of them should be cut out. Add a little exercise and you're doing it right.

Sure the odd treat from time to time is absolutely fine - our bodies can adapt well.
