** Football 21/22 April ** *spoilers*

Yeah I was annoyed at the lack of a replay, I was going berzerk in the pub and then realised it hadn't been given. The Bendtner one I thought was potentially offside (although certainly no worse than Barca's "goal" in the 2006 CL final).

Anyway I think we've blown any chance we had of getting automatic CL qualification via the league, so we'll have to rely on winning it this year to achieve that. Here's hoping we can get a few players fit over the summer to mount a proper challenge for 2nd next year.

You might not get an automatic CL qualification, but with the calibre of the other teams that are in there with you, it's pretty much a done deal that you'll get through

We may have knocked Man U out of the FA Cup on Sunday but we've given them the title tonight. Pretty fair swap if you ask me :P

You may have knocked one challanger off Utd's tail - but Liverpool are still pretty close, its by no means a done deal yet (If Hull can take a couple of points off Liverpool on Saturday and Utd beat Spurs in the late game - neither of which are certain by any means - then its probably a done deal)

Not really bothered that we drew last night as we've been out of the title race since we lost to Spuds, it was a pretty dour game though.
The only good point from it was that we kept a clean sheet and Cech played pretty well for a change, if we can do the same v WHU it'll give us a bit more confidence going in to the Barca game:)

Totally agree with you. Spurs are in good form - 1 loss in 9 league games, and they're a bit of a bogey team for Man U, so by no means a guarenteed 3 points in the bag.

I'm hoping Hull can do us a favour but they must be most out of form team in the Premiership, but knowing how football goes they'll get a draw :D

At the moment it's 12 points from 6 game to win the title.

Can't see Hull getting anything out of Liverpool unless they're very, very tired from the Arsenal game, which I don't think they will be. I am 99% sure Man Utd have the title in the bag but I think we'll know more after the Spurs vs Man Utd game as Spurs are playing some great stuff atm, and if Man Utd beat them I can't see them losing the title.

If we win our game in hand by a goal the Goal Diff would only be 2, which I'm presuming we can make up.

Although we've given up scoring goals and Liverpool seem to be scoring for fun :/

never presume :D (it is Man Utd we are talking about remember, and they ALWAYS make it difficult for themselves lol)

Im pretty sure that as part of the new CL qualification agreement the 4th place side in England has to play one of the other qualifiers from a major league (Spain, Italy etc) so it's far from a done deal.

For goal difference to come into play, you'd have to lose either 2 games or drop points in 3 which would mean the difference in goal difference would become larger and you'd have less games to make it up in.

The whole "top four qualifying" is dumb anyway.

It should be for champions, you know, what with it being a "champions league"!

Second and third should be UEFA cup, and leave it at that.

Bring back the CWC for the cup winners (shocker again) and have two spots, one for FA cup winners and one for league cup winners.
