Football 5th-6th Feb 2011 **SPOILERS**

Well thats quite ironic. Liverpool are 2nd by one point to Arsenal in the form guide over the past 6 games.

I say their atitude is extremely positive at the moment.

Far be it from me to defend DM, but thats what he is saying.

Gone is Hodgsons hand dog mogadon maudling and "we are lucky to only be loosing by the odd goal" mentality, and Dalgleish has come in with a possitive attitude and thats turned it round.

The best thing about getting Park back will be the option to have Giggs on the bench, he really turned around the game at Blackpool when we needed a change, on Saturday we didn't really have any creative force to come on

Very true, but hopefully Giggs can get a bit of a rest for a few games to really freshen him up for Liverpool

edit - thats a little further away than I thought

Cant see the Chelsea game going ahead (with the FA Cup replay with Everton to be played on Round 5 day, being at SB Everton would have to really go some to get a win there)

So its probably City, Crawley Town, Marseille, Wigan & Liverpool, Marseille for next 6 games - Liverpool away being the hardest of the lot -atmosphere wise if nothing else)

Would be lovely to win the EPL before meeting Chelsea for the 1st time lol (if FA cup result go as above, Utd and Chelsea are likely to meet twice inside a week in May for EPL matches)

Cesc and RvP out of the mid-week games with 'flu'

'bout time Arsenal started doing this, delightful :D

About ****ing time. How much money have we lost because of them. And goals. And places. And progression in competitions. There is no need whatsoever for a meaningless friendly now. :/

Oh, are there poxy internationals? I wondered why we had a free week.

Urgh Feb already.

Jack's an absolute dream to play with, especially when you play on the right-hand side and he has got an absolutely gifted left foot. He can just ping it over to you. He spots the ball that no one else would - apart from Cesc, I suppose. Cesc spots everything
Ahhhh, Cesc <3.

*sigh*

But Koscielny has been called up to the french squad too, WHY would we send one of 2 fit CBs?

Great, it's once again at international time of the season that our own domestic one becomes unhinged.

Still, after that 4-4 perhaps it's a good time for a break. We're not sending Djourou (can't), Gibbs and Ramsey aren't playing either. Though not sure Ramsey really affects us.

Can't they take Squillaci instead? Will anyone notice if we swap them? Maybe if Wenger went along with him, then stuffed Sakho into a bag after the game and legged it to the airport.

Job done.

@JohanDjourou is unbeaten in his last 26 Premier League games, the longest current run in the division. Invincible.

I don't usually disagree with Wenger, but I wasn't sure DJ could ever be a top level defender, he looks like he may get there though, very impressed with him recently.

He's absolute pony defensively, looks good and composed on the ball but tbh he's just not a great CB. Imho of course...

I'm just happy to have somebody who gets his head on everything aerially in the defence. Attackers very rarely get the better of him in the air and considering his huge injury, he's come in and made hardly any mistakes, only Sagna has been as/more solid. I think him and Vermaelen (haha) could possibly form the best partnership at Arsenal in years

Agree with that but only if he remains injury free. He's already been blighted a lot and seemingly is out again for a bit. With Sagna returning to his first season form this year it seems we need a LB only. Clichy I don't think will ever return to how he good he was when Cole left, perhaps it might be an idea to try Kos there.

Pony? You really need to look at the difference he makes in our defence at the moment.

Djourou + Koscielny > Djourou + Squillaci >>>> Koscielny + Squillaci

That's good news, you got a source? It's Wolves this weekend though, rest him either way. Such a pity what happened to Nasri I really do think we'd have a had a chance to not make the entire tie a riot..

Edit - went looking for a link then found 'Diaby to Emulate Vieira'. Well he has a red card, I suppose we all have to start from somewhere..

Pretty solid performance from Liverpool. Chelsea looked pretty complacent both at the back and up front.

Torres still looks like ridiculously out of form.

Good win for Liverpool; although they won't like being told they did United a favour.

I'am a Liverpool fan and i don't care if we done you's a favour because all we need to concentrate on is pushing Chelsea and Spurs as hard as we can for fourth spot .

Also EL NINO is anagram of One Nil :D:D:D:D
