I've not defended my team at all

And it is Carrick :)

And as my previous post; if it has simply been zoomed in on the part of the injury, it has made the injury look worse than it is. As I've said, the size of the gash is clear to see from the 2nd picture. The 3rd picture is misleading at best.

How can you say that it's made the injury look worse than it is? I didn't think we'd had a prgnosis as to how long he was out yet so surely that's impossible to say. As pointed out, the last pic is after the wound has been cleaned down.

It's not misleading at all, it is obviously zoomed in ffs, no one is denying that!!!!

Read your previous posts, you have gone from it being a photoshop of a different incident to now admitting it's the same injury same time and just zoomed in on another picture.

Just before Raf slid Maxi went in with his studs with a tackle to his theigh, if you watch the replay you will see Raf pointing to his leg as he is getting booked, you will also see Saurez pulling him by his hair.

The simple fact of the matter is this:

Carragher goes in high, makes contact, injures a player = Yellow card.
Maxi goes in high, makes contact = Nothing.
Rafael goes in high, wins the ball, no contact = Yellow card.

But lets not let facts get in the way.

Seriously Baz, the picture has been zoomed in but you can obviously see it's the same injury, you can also obviously see that it's the same incident. So have you gone from it's a photoshop! and also a different incident, to, it's a zoomed in picture !!!

It is also Paul Scholes

I questioned whether it was the same incident as there is no coverage from Sky from that angle nor are there any of the press's camera men on that side of the pitch. I didn't say it definitely wasn't.

Whether it's been photoshopped or not and whether it was intentional or not, that picture makes the size of the cut to Nani's leg look far bigger than it was. The cut to Nani's leg is not much bigger than the size of a stud, he's not had a 4 inch chunk taken out of his leg like that picture would indicate.

And it is Carrick! I'm watching the incident right now. Carrick is standing there with his hands on his hips while Scholes is arguing with Kuyt!

Sorry I was talking about the size of the cut rather than the actual medical term. I should have been clearer as I know you like to concentrate on meaningless details rather than the actual point ;)

what the hell? If it's been zoomed in on and that's your definition of 'an attempt to make the cut look far bigger than it was' then you really need to concentrate on the meaningful details!
Of course it's zoomed in, if there has been no other work done then that simply is the cut. Unless the've shrank the leg around it or enlarged it then that is simply it.

Special mention to the classless Scousers that booed him as he was being stretchered off, very classy!

.

not condoning it but if you watch the way the aftermath played out with him stood there while things were sorted and then going down like shot quite a while after the incident it did all look a bit bizarre

Do you know how zoomed in pictures work? They zoom in and make parts of the picture bigger so you can see more clearly. It was never in question as to whether it was a zoomed in pic, I think you will find when it was first posted, the guy who posted said it was a close up of the injury.

Link me to this video, that is definitely Paul Scholes in that picture, it's his little chunky pale arm.

Like I said, adrenaline does strange things to the body, I'll say again, remember the Joe Cole incident? I also remember the Liverpool fans attacking the Ambulance that was taking Alan Smith away following a compound fracture.

I also imagine Nani was extremely ****ed off that Carragher only got a yellow card for it and he went over to the ref showing him the gash on his shin.

Thanks for explaining how zoomed pictures work :p

Maybe I shouldn't have said it was photoshopped (I'm not saying it certainly hasn't been) but the picture in question makes the size of the cut look bigger than it is as it's not clear at first glance that only the gash has been enhanced. If you look at that pic in isolation you'd think somebody's taken a pickaxe to his leg.

And it is Carrick. I'm not streaming the game so I can't link you but give me a second and I'll sort a pic out or find a link. Before I do though, would you like to place any money on it? For charity of course :p

Because the 'rush' wore off and he was in shock I imagine, I wouldn't expect the majority of simple fans there to have understood that at the time though, and even if they did they would have still boo'd.

With regards to the different game/photoshop remarks, the picture with his leg in the air is probably before the cut opened up, or just that you cant see it properly as they haven't pulled his sock down far enough?

Either way, there is nothing to discuss, Carragher (who I previously haven't minded) is a complete tool, and Nani, while being a girl sometimes, didn't do anything wrong and is a victim of a potential leg-snapping tackle.

Using Rafael's nowhere near as bad tackle as some kind of defence is just laughable too.

So you are sarcastic about having zoomed pictures explained to you and then go on to say how it makes the cut look bigger and is enhanced :D No **** Sherlock!

The picture is obviously zoomed in, you can clearly see how his leg is 4 inches bigger on the one side, it's obviously zoomed in.

If you can give me a picture or a link to that exact frame that shows it's Carrick I'll make a donation to Charity.

To reiterate my point that they are classless and they have previous for this kind of thing.

Next question.

Well you were talking about the players; Gerrard carragher etc, and now you are talking about the fans regarding Alan Smith.

Just to clarify, your insightful point would be that all Liverpool players and fans are classless?

are you saying rafael is winning the ball against lucas or maxi? the two incidents are a matter of seconds apart so i'd like you to clarify. he certainly doesn't win it against lucas but as you are referring to him being carded for it, i can only assume you are referring to his two footed lunge on him. watch it again. there's only no contact because lucas reacts quickly, if he'd have made contact, chances are he'd be going off on a stretcher.

Thank you! god knows how Baz is playing at being sarcastic there. It's like he's saying yes it was zoomed in but then failing to grasp the fundamentals of what that actually means.

Like I say, doesn't mean anything either way, the tackle was made. I don't think Carragher intended to put anyone out for an extended period but what happened happened. I just didn't get where all this talk of a photoshop was coming from.

His leg doesn't look any wider to me at all and that's because they've only enhanced the area around the cut, which is why I said it was shopped.

And just over 6 mins in. I was kidding about the bet but if you want to donate any money to charity, Carra's foundation would be the most suitable ;)

If it was obvious that it was zoomed only on the area around the cut then you'd have a point. It's not though. Look at the picture and the width of his lower leg isn't enhanced, only the immediate area around the cut which makes it disproportionate to his leg and therefore far bigger than it actually was.
