**Football 5th-9th Mar 2010/2011

Off to what could be quite possibly my last Liverpool Man U home game today. Am almost certainly renting out my season ticket next year as basically I have become fed up with football the way it is.

1.30 Sunday games, 8pm Monday nights and every last penny being milked from you as a fan. It's just become a ' I am considerably richer than yow' contest for the owners and the deepest pocket prevails.

Sad times ladies and gents. It's no longer the beautiful game.

It's the wrong day. Footy should be at 3pm on a Saturday, end of.

What unadulterated rubbish, its the end of the beautiful game because, you say so. The football is different when it starts at 1.30 instead of 3pm, just a painfully daft thing to say.

What happens with more games spread out over a larger area is, shockingly, horribly, dispicably, more people get to watch football......... oh the humanity.

Shock horror, football is different to 100 years ago before television was invented, oh no.

Watch rubbish highlights that essentially lie about a performance, or get to watch whole live games that are often great to watch, not according to you, 3pm or its all rubbish.

As a one off I'd have no problem paying that to watch Liverpool v Man U, admittedly every week + food + beers + travel that's expensive though.

totally agree - the one off ticket isnt so bad, its the travel and everything that goes with it that makes the trip expensive :)

Personally I hate the early or late kick-offs (I know why its done, but at the end of the day its still a little artificial unless there is a security concern with two local bitter rivals playing at the same time)

I dont mind the odd game going on Sunday afternoon - but when only a 1/4 of the teams play on @ 3pm Sat and the rest are at other times, it gets a little much imo.

Majority of games every week during the season should be played at 3pm Sat (with the odd break for cup competitions, and the League Cup and CL reserved for mid-week fixtures).

6th Mar 2011 - Latest News

Luis Suarez leads the line for Liverpool in this afternoon's clash with Manchester United - Andy Carroll is on the bench. Listen live from 1.25pm GMT.

Fabio Aurelio comes in at left-back as Kenny Dalglish makes two changes from the defeat at West Ham. Maxi Rodriguez also starts.

Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Aurelio, Carragher, Skrtel, Gerrard, Lucas, Meireles, Maxi, Kuyt, Suarez. Subs: Gulacsi, Kyrgiakos, Poulsen, Spearing, Cole, Ngog, Carroll.

Any news on the Utd team? Evra doubtful to play?

O'Shea possibility at left back, Rafael right back?

Reckon it'll be 4-4-2 again?

Good team there from us providing it goes to plan :D Thou i sense Carroll at best gets 10-20mins or is their for mind games nothing else, BUT WHY O WHY Did Kelly hamstring go! He needs to be at RB not johnson ive lost all paitence with Johnson tbh

Evra said he would play through the pain earlier in the week, but who knows

Who would guess Gerrard's groin strain has cleared up enough to start lol

He has gone 4-4-2 (or what looks to be a 4-4-2, bu Giggs will probably took inside and Rooney will be shunted out wide :(), which is incredibly surprising given the amount there is too loose from this match. I thought the midfield three of Carrick, Scholes, Fletcher would be out in force :o

Decent looking back 4 as well, in light of injuries and suspensions. The bench has about as much depth as a porn script though :/

Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Aurelio, Gerrard, Lucas, Kuyt, Meireles, Maxi, Suarez.
Subs: Gulacsi, Carroll, Cole, Kyrgiakos, Ngog, Spearing, Poulsen.
Man Utd: Van der Sar, Rafael Da Silva, Smalling, Brown, Evra, Nani, Carrick, Scholes, Giggs, Berbatov, Rooney.
Subs: Kuszczak, Hernandez, Fabio Da Silva, O'Shea, Fletcher, Obertan, Gibson.

In the Liverpool slums,
They knock on the door when they want something to eat,
They find a dead rat and they think it's a treat,
In the Liverpool slums.
