Football and the Coronavirus

Sky have always had a stance of not revealing PPV buys for big boxing events so I doubt that will change however somebody on twitter posted estimates based on sampling done by some organisation called BARB. He's set his account to private now but iirc it varied from sub 10k for Burnley - West Brom with the highest selling game getting approx 70k buys.

News coming out from todays PL meeting and there will be no reduction in the PPV price, at least for now. They'll review this at the International break and possibly look to reduce the price to £9.95.

According to reports there has been an average of 39k buys per game (as low as sub 10k per game and none above 100k) and according to at least one report this is pretty much bang on the target the PL set themselves, of getting as many buys as there would have been supporters in stadiums. I guess this is why we've got the 2 week delay - the PL are happy with the sales but just need to decide whether bad PR is worth it.

Despite facing going out of business several EFL clubs have helped feed those in need.

You know when 2020 is ****** up when Newcastle have this season scored more than Man City, conceded fewer than Liverpool, are four points above Man Utd, and their top scorer has as many goals as Harry Kane.
