It's obviously an awesome first touch, but one of the best goals you've ever seen? The keeper is having an absolute nightmare for a start, quite why he feels the need to come off his line when there's a defender there i'll never know.

Which is what sterling has done now, he's chosen to push on and join a bigger club with more chance of winning things

Popularity wise there isn't really much of a contest between Liverpool and Man City, maybe one day, but not now.

Social media now makes it easier to measure.

But popularity doesn't pay Sterling or get him trophies.
