Are we really talking about the 'med team incident' as if it is anything other than a completely calculated response by Mourinho to deflect attention away from his team's performance again?

Chelsea play poorly - Chelsea have big game coming up (Man City away) - Mourinho deflects attention from his team's poor performance by saying something controversial - media fap over said comments for next week or so - Chelsea focus on next game - Chelsea draw/win as required - Mourinho is happy.

Isn't that how it goes?

I wouldn't have thought Man City give a flying **** about it tbh.

It's not about how it affects Man City - it's about letting his players prepare for the next big game without having the media constantly telling them that they're playing poorly, or that they're making basic mistakes, or that the defense is all over the place, or that the strikers aren't making chances.

As long as the media are talking about him, he's then able to focus his players on preparing properly for the next game. He does this all the time - surely everyone knows this?

Just paper talk selling papers.

I've heard people claim this a couple of times and it's laughable to give him that much credit.
Do you think he thought inbetween the seconds that Hazard went down and the med team ran on 'I know, I'll blow my top at them then no-one will talk about our average performance'?
Of course he didn't, he got the hump and raged at the med team, that's the story.

...as if it was some masterstroke from the mastermind!

Of course the original reaction isn't some form of genius planned behavior. He over reacted and behaved like a tool - there's no doubt about that.

But do you really think that he's not now happy to keep that 'incident' as the topic of media focus?

I doubt he really cares either way, or the players most importantly.

201/209 for Liverpool. If I could have spelt Bjornebye it would have been 203. Would be interesting to know how they made up the 11's for each season too.

Only managed to get 166. Never realised how unsettled we've been compared to the more successful teams over the last few years. Managed to get 200 for Man United and only entered 30 or so players :o

Missed a depressing amount. Didn't get Van der Sar because I couldn't remember how to spell it :p

Forgot about Bosnich and had a blank on older defenders like Johnsen (and amazingly Silvestre!)

Also spent a good five minutes trying to work out which midfielder from the 2012-2014 I wasn't getting, I must have wiped Cleverley from my mind already :D

Also according to that Utd played 5-3-2 for Fergie's last season and Moyes season....did we

Dr Eva Carneiro NOT on the bench for today's match?

She could treat me any day of the week!

Chant of the week: "Eva, Eva, show us your beaver!"
