Chelsea's proposed upgrades to Stamford Bridge:

I've been sitting patiently watching Sky Sports 1 for the past 20mins thinking they are leaving it late to start coverage of the Cyprus vs Wales game. Wrong day d'oh :o

Now if only we could be better than Romania....
I struggle to work out how the FIFA rankings are worked out to be honest. Romania how are they in the top 10?! and above Bale FC, England and a team that won the Copa America this year!!!

Ok it's done over the last 4 years fair enough what's Romania competitive record in major tournaments in the last 4 years:

2012 Euros - Didn't qualify
2014 World Cup - Didn't qualify

Right so I know the rankings are more weighted towards newer results so I'm guessing their Euros qualifying group must be filled with some big teams they're beating to get in the top 10:

Hungary - Ranked 37th
Northern Ireland - Ranked 41st
Greece - Ranked 44th
Faroe Islands - Ranked 75th
Finland - Ranked 92nd

Oooook. They must have beat Germany half a dozen times in friendlies or something!

Three Arsenal players and no doubt in a couple of years time Wilshere will be on that list too. Surely someone at the club sees this kind of thing and takes a very long, hard look at the training regime, physios etc to wonder why this happens. RVP was also out fairly regularly too.

Top players who are injured are quite often rushed back into the first team which doesn't help. Wilshere has suffered for that quite often, as did RvP. Diaby though is just a massive crock.

Wenger had a classic him/medical staff moment. Asked about Wilshere he said in a press conference along the side of haven't spoken to him or the medical staff about him in a while, not sure how he is. He was supposed to be back this weekend but knows it now won't be the weekend. Few hours later someone asks the medical staff and he's not back till after xmas now. Bunch of idiots. Wenger should be gone and everyone on the entire medical staff should be fired.

Every single time Diaby was offered a new contract is was patently obvious he was never going to play enough to be worthwhile, utterly pathetic we kept him so long.

De Gea signs a new 4 year contract at United.

So is this a 'real' contract or them getting a contract in place so they get something for him when Madrid come knocking again at the end of the season?

If it is ~£25m then that would be a pretty good result for Man Utd.

It's like a small loan fee + high wages for a world class goalkeeper at his prime.
