Football Banter Thread

Tbf Robbie Savage talks a lot of crap so yeh I don't blame Terry for having a pop at him. How many titles has Savage won?? How many cups etc etc.

Bit rich coming from the man who missed a penalty to win the Champions league and then changed into his strip to celebrate when his team won it without him.

How has what Savage has said been any different to Neville?

Regardless of those incidents, Savage is absolutely nothing compared to Terry. Had to laugh when Savage thought of himself as "world class" when he was playing. World class ****** more like. :p

Who is saying that Savage is a patch on Terry? The point is that you don't have to be a great player to know football. For heavens sake, his manager is a prime example.

The League Cup :p. He's had hundreds more Premier League appearances than 99.9% of footballers manage, in fairness.

Right?? And somehow that makes him an expert?? And who really ****ing cares about the league cup, possibly the most pointless cup in all of football :p

Sky will show Premier League highlights on-demand next season:

... the broadcaster has announced that it'll be offering "extended highlights" for every game on-demand starting next season. While Sky has offered these condensed replays before, they've been limited to its traditional TV channels. Now, starting with the 2016/17 season, football fans will be able to watch abridged matches whenever they like. Almost whenever they like, that is. Sky will release one full match -- with no edits whatsoever -- at 8pm each Saturday, followed by "extensive highlights" from the remaining fixtures at 10:30pm. Similarly, highlights from weekday fixtures will be available after 10pm.

The broadcaster is also planning team "box sets" which will be accessible via Sky on demand. So whether you're a fan of Manchester City or Chelsea (that's assuming Mourinho's men are still in the Premier League next season) you'll have a single place to quickly catch up on their performances. Sky will also continue to show extended highlights on TV, just in case you want to tune in for some spontaneous Premier League action.

The extended highlights will be available to football fans on TV, the web and mobile through Sky Go.

I watched the Ronaldo documentary last night. Wasn't exactly fascinating television, but interesting to watch none the less. Seems to live quite the lonely life and only has a small circle of family and friends that he trusts. He kindheartedly believes he is the best and strives every day to improve himself.
Part where his son meets Messi was kinda cute too.

Just saw this on the BBC site which made me chuckle:

"Lionel Messi is open to leaving Barcelona for a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal his preferred destination. But the 28-year-old forward wants £600,000-a-week. (Daily Star)"

Can you imagine Arsenal paying anyone £600k per week? :D

I know the source is the Daily Star and obviously a load of rubbish, but that's ridiculous statement to make even for them, embarrassing even.
