Sad reports about Ginola, so hope he's better than the news sounds. :(

Good yes from a sporting point of view, but it means less money for the some of the smaller clubs (less home games) which could apparently equate to a 10% loss of income each season.

Given that they need 65 out of the 72 clubs to agree to this, that sounds like a tall order if a fairly large financial incentive isn't agreed, one large enough to qualm any fears.

Damn, Ginola sounds like he's in a bad way.

Yes, very sad news :(

Hes fine, according to Sky News website, hes tweeting while unconscious.

Supposedly Ginola's agent sent those tweets out while he was in a coma, wtf.

Sad reports about Ginola, so hope he's better than the news sounds. :(

Personally I reckon this is an awful idea. Less games, no midweek games under the lights, less match day revenue for the smaller clubs and all because the EPL wants to be able to field B teams in the football league.

There'll still be midweek cup games, but midweek league games are awful things now that the lower leagues aren't geographically based. The finances around away fixtures do hurt them.
