Football Fixtures 20-21st September *Spoilers*

Is there still no news on Clichy? That tackle looked even worse on the BBC.

Apperantly just a bruised shin, But what the hell is Lawrenson on about? a fair challenge? and shearer? If you have a bruised shiN the tackle was too high IMO

Lawro hasnt got a clue about anything!

Made me laugh when he said that the liverpool goal should have stood.

Torres's head was offside (the other guy quoted the exact rule that states hes offside and not kuyt).

Lawro still thinks it should be a goa! wtf??? Torres goes to head the ball thats why the goal is given offside. MOTD coverage was poor tonight, didnt even show you the few chnces stoke had also it didnt show you Vaz Te's chance for Bolton!

Denilson certainly seems to have come of ages this season, weighing in with goals and assists now. As to Song, can't knock him so far. Done a good job and looks far better on the ball than he used to be. Can't wait till we get a full strength side though!

I heard that the bus network in Stoke and the Potteries were none existant between 2 & 5 today. Rumour has it they were all parked in front of the goals at Anfield

hahaahaha

Surprised MoD isnt on Iplayer - it should be imo (or are there some silly rules about repeats for highlights?) - Sunday morning edition doesnt usually show all the analysis which is interesting imo esp when they disagree lol (hm actualy wonder whether its BBC being cheap with Lawro and others paychecks why it isnt on Iplayer)

IF Liverpool could play week in week out like last Saturday, they would win the league hands down (or at least come a lot closer to it) but they simply cant imo, they give away cheap home points to relegation candidates (maybe not presently, but surely Stoke will be down there come May)

Still can't believe we drew with Stoke! How bad is that! **** sake, I hope this doesn't go on like last season, too many draws that should be wins.

On the plus side, Reina is getting better every game and Reira looks like he's fitting in well. But this is all negated by the fact Kuyt is still playing, touch of a rapist and vision of a dead bat. It's all right saying Rafa knows better than the fans but it's clear as day that he is one horrendous footballer, why is he still playing!

Oh and I decided I hate Adebayor, he's just irritating to look at and watch.

So manu fans still think you should and will be playing all four of Rooney/Ronaldo/Tevez and Berbatov today?

Really looking forward to seeing how that goes down against a team with a strong midfield.

Looking forward to what is hopefully a great game.

I think it's more a question of whether they should be playing all five (to include Scholes as well). They could probably get away with fielding those four with Carrick and Hargreaves holding the fort, especially against a team without much width such as Chelsea.

With Carrick being out injured however things are a little more complicated. Hargreaves has an outstanding workrate, but I can't see him singlehandedly keeping Chelsea at bay with Scholes, lets be honest here, being a yellow card waiting to happen if he tries to win the ball.

We shouldnt play Berbatov at all.

Should just be Rooney and Tevez up front, Nani on the right, Ronaldo on the left, Hargreaves and Anderson in the middle.

Ferguson will set up 4-5-1 however and loose.

Well it looks like normal service has resumed at Liverpool. We beat Man U and Marseille and then draw with Stoke.

It's the draws with the likes of Stoke that have basically negated any challenge for silverware for the last four hundred years for us.

Drives me mad.

Yeah agreed Denilson was almost falling into my Eboue/Bendtner category of frustrating players. Looks like he had a mare at Fulham and has got passed that!

Does anhyone know much about this Bischoff player?

how about

Ronaldo Fletcher Scholes Anderson Rooney

Berba

If we go 4-4-2 we will get murdered I feel (without Carrick)

If we lose Anderson and play Tevez upfront (as I cant see SAF not picking Fletcher or Scholes for this game) the sytem isnt as adaptable

IE if we start with those five in midfield to settle down, IF it goes well, Rooney can push forward and Anderson can go on the wing, but if Tevez is included it has to be 4-4-2 (which would be dangerous to say the least on current form)

Im still not sure about Denilson tbh - The defensive side of his game is shaky, at best. And that is leaving fabregas with more work to do defensively, meaning he cant do what he does best as often.

But, he has made a big improvement over last season.

Can't wait for Chelski Man U should be a cracking game and the first true test for Chelsea.

On Paper MU look formidable going forward, not looking forward to our game!

Is Ronnie playing today?

Guess a draw is the best result for us!

Perhaps - he defo needs Cesc playing along side him. Denny and Eboue in the middle didn't really work - was at the WBA Game and took in the Fulham game on TV and it was pretty poor.

This is my main concern this term is that if we lose Cesc we've effectively had it! Merida who is supposedlt Cesc V2 is out on loan and I'm not sure who can come in and do a similar job....

Scholes shouldnt play, what can he possibly offer in this game?
He hasnt got the legs or the time on the ball to compete with anyone in the chelsea midfield.
And what is the point of playing one upfront against a strong defence?
The only way to beat chelsea is to keep the ball down their end of the field, we play one up front it isnt going to work.

Utd confirmed with Rooney & Berba up front with Park starting along with Nani.
I think the central midfield pair is Hargreaves and Anderson
