Football Fixtures - 28th-30th December *[SPOILERS]*

Just wanna say well done lucas leiva today - the countless times that kid has been bashed by pool supporters on here, and he produces a brilliant performance. from the kick off he was winning every challenge..went forward when he needed to and threaded some lovely passes throughout the game..i just cant believe he didnt score and that liverpool did not get into double figures today... so more of the same lucas and any lucas bashers eat some humble pie. He is still young, give him time and he can be a very good player for us.

No question marks over his ability but without taking too much away from him today (because he was excellent), his biggest problem has been coping with teams that get in his face and who don't give him time on the ball which Newcastle didn't do today.

West Ham 1-1 Stoke and Fuller sent off for Stoke after fighting with Faye(?).

edit: seems like it was Griffin not Faye.

1514: RED CARD Stoke
Extraordinary. Ricardo Fuller is sent off for attempting to hit team-mate and captain Andy Griffin, who was turned by Cole for the equaliser.

Weird..will await that later on tonight..

worst performances of recent memory for me

I can just about swallow the Pool defeat

But the Wigan match was disgraceful

If wigan go on to beat Bolton today they will be running liverpool close for the title this year, as beating these two sides is apparently enough to hand the trophy over.

The way talksport are banging on anyway.

I said at the time that if Arsenal got more than £20 mil offered for Adebayor they should take it...

They should also trade Bendtner for a bag of peanuts :)

Just finished watching the 'pool game (sky+ and dinner) and I would have taken Newcastle over Crewe today for Hartlepool - it was comedy defending even for League 1. Really embarrassing. Liverpool took this as little more than a training match from 10 mins in and even then strolled out as easy winners. Nobody in the Newcastle seemed arsed let alone able to do anything, bar Given and whilst he made some good saves, they are what you'd expect from a keeper in the PL tbh.

Difficult game to judge Liverpool's ability to go on to the title as Hull would have put 5 or 6 in today, so would most of the other teams in the PL and even half of the Championship they were THAT bad. I think it's a shame that they didn't put Keane in the starting XI as a couple of goals in consecutive games and a decent start were what the doctor ordered. He's better than Babel. Would be nice to have another winner of the Prem, still to be convinced that it's possible.

What did he do?:p

**** up a one on one earlier, then couldn't even get a shot on target with James MIA, then emphasises just how bad his control is by...ah just watch MOTD.

Missed an open net.

He isnt that bad, if he was playing in a stronger team nobody would notice him missing.

Oh no we noticed him last season lol :p
