Football Fixtures - 28th-30th December *[SPOILERS]*

Best villa have got?

Villa have over the last few games been grinding out results

Something some of the other top four havent been doing except man utd and liverpool

One shot on target in ninety minutes? Hardly the stuff of champions is it?
Should've been one down as well early on as there was no foul on Friedel, just look at his reaction when the ball went in (own goal as well) you can see he knew he'd made a ricket. Got a ruddy lucky call there from an atrocious ref.

Its about getting a result regardless of whether you are playing well or not.

They won the game regardless, sign of a very good team imo

lol at Phil Brown's comments:

Hull boss Phil Brown on the same incident:
"It's a tough one. The referee got it wrong because he gave it originally.

"The linesman took up a position that he was giving the penalty but for some reason they've changed their mind between them.

"The referee is 15 yards away but he consults a linesman who was 40 yards away from the incident."

Oh well, a win is a win. You've got to have a bit of luck to get anywhere, and we've certainly got it atm.

No way Villa will be troubling the top 4 come May if that's the best they've got.

That isn't the best Villa have got ;)

They were down two centrebacks and a striker last night and have been without a proven right back all season.

Games like that are when the pacey players just don't work as well, you need some muscle up front to deliver an end product. With no Carew, Laursen and Cueller also injured and Harewood's current form we were always going to struggle for an aeriel threat which was about the only way we were going to get through a physical Hull side.

Still we got the three points, all is well :D
