Football Fixtures - 28th-30th December *[SPOILERS]*

Very true - that run in could be full of trip ups

Chelsea's looks potentially just as bad (Arsenal, and two potential relegation fights in Blackburn and Sunderland)

Liverpool by contrast looks not so bad at this point anyway

At this point it makes no difference until / if Man Utd actually get those 9 points on offer for the three games in hand, only then really does it become interesting

Before that we also have to face Chelsea at OT in two weeks time which will hopefully be a good game

After watching MotD thought the Newcastle goal should have been allowed - but Liverpool were worthy winners, although they made it difficult for themselves with a bit of dodgy defending...could have easily scored 8 though

Fat Franks been taking free-kicks like that for ages.

edit: even before Ronaldo. Was watching my '05 CL DVD the other day and he took 1 like that vs us in the semi.

Not having a go, but why? I know you support Hull but why do you care about the other teams?
I just think it makes it more interesting, mixes things up a bit. Instead of having a whipping boy ala Derby last season you have teams that actually add some competition.

Looks like Lampard has managed to get the hang of Ronaldo's technique for hitting free kicks.

Schwarzer didn't do very well though, but yeah he's done that for a while.

True, I would probably feel this way if Newcastle were further from the relegation zone. :p

after todays performance im sure they will be right back down there....:D

good thing this season is so messed up

we still only 3 points from 10th

Im glad we lost so dramatically to liverpool yesterday, 1-5 i was hoping liverpool would get double figures and us not scoring tbh, why be rubbish and not be disgraceful?

Why bother even saying typical newcastle, a sort of decent run comes tumbling down in some style again.

Fair play liverpool, i hope they win the league tbh.

Gerrard arrested? Can't comment till all the details come out but still a little lol from me

Newcastles season will be defined in Jan

After FA cup at hull we have

Blackburn AWAY
Man City AWAY
West Brom AWAY

Sigh :(

Well bar Derby's current Carling Cup run, I think that's the worst twelve months in management I've ever seen someone have.

07/08: Played 24, Won 0, Drawn 5, Lost 20
08/09: Played 26, Won 7, Drawn 8, Lost 11

An average of about 0.67 points a game!

Aye, well that it's also dragging Tottenham back down into it is an added bonus. :p
