Yeah, the only match recently we have played without him where we were not doing well is the stoke game, a game, away from home, where the opposotion were just out to kick lumps out of us, a game played with no wingers, no first choice midfielders, and half our first choice defence.

The two games before that, we scored 6 goals in.
 
I just really hope its Carrick/Anderson against Chelsea. Scholes I could maybe live with but in games like this he's often found a bit short on pace, especially when up against three CM's.

Last night we only had one of our first choice defence - edit however great Rafael is I would still have Brown ahead of him, maybe not for long but currently (if he wasnt injured)

CWC Final we didnt exactly set the world alight either (without Berba, so again you are wrong) and over the two games we also conceded three - so its not as great as you are making out imo

Just give up blaming one person - the whole team isnt playing particularly well

The only game where we where even half reasonable was the CC game against Blackburn - with an inexperienced boss who was virtually out the door and a team rooted in relegation (even if it was their 1st team against some of our kids)

The whole team is scraping by and hanging on by their fingernails - get over yourself adn stop blaming one player

Carrick is a dead cert I would hope - Anderson depends really on how long he is away I would guess. Scholes' knowledge /experience could be helpful but like you I would prefer Anderson's energy and speed above that against Chelsea

Villa done it again, really grinding out results lately. Could be worth a sly punt for the title.
