Football **Spoilers** 4th-7th November

The first Chelsea goal was funny, Terry just switched off and Panucci is left all alone to tap in.

I bloody hate Liverpool and tonight is an example of why, luckiest team on earth.

Been down the pub watching it and my mate called a 94th minute penalty in favour of Liverpool before added time was even announced. Predictable as anything and an absolute joke of a penalty.

How are Atletico not classed as lucky to still be in the game an hour in, let alone in the lead? How can people say taht Spurs' win the other night wasn't luck? Yes, the penalty was debateable, but that is just one type of luck you can get in a football match, and generally it evens itself out. Had we got that penalty, in the same way, after an hour, during our period of absolute dominance, would it have promoted the same backlash? I doubt it.

Deco's red card was a joke.

It was two yellows (so therefore two incidents of lesser offense)

however I would have thought trying to take a quick free kick isnt worthy of a yellow either (unless the ref warned him not to of course)

I only saw the penalty replay on the news of the Liverpool game but that is a complete joke, while it may not be dangerous it should have been Gerrard being penalised not the defender (if anyone)

Liverpool are so ***** lucky its unbelievable, sounds like the ref didnt have a good match at all

I didn't see any 'stone wall penalty' to Liverpool. I assume this was the incident where the guy bent his wrist right out of the way whilst not looking in the same direction when the ball hit him on the hand?

I can see why some might moan about inconsistency with the later free kick given for hand ball, but Liverpool gained a free kick through that, they didn't lose a penalty. Neither should have been punished.

Lucky Liverpool again ;)

holy moly, I just watched gerrards "penalty" on youtube.

Worst decision I've seen in ages, he just lunged in with zero chance of controlling it, then HITS the other guy. awsum

Pretty rubbish team out for us:

Foster
Rafael - Ferdinand - Vidic - O'Shea
Ronaldo - Carrick - Fletcher - Nani
Giggs - Tevez

You kidding? He was lucky to have played until then! Multiple fouls deserving of a yellow card which he didn't get cause he has been previously booked. The ref clearly had enough by then.

Yeah, but he should have gone before. Instead the ref has opened himself up to criticism by waiting for a "nothing" foul to send him off.

Intentional weakened team from Man United. Celtic have some major injuries woes. Hesselink, Samaras, Crosas and McGeady all out injured. All are first team picks.

Just Tevez up front? He better do something this match then. Glad to see the rest of the team looks pretty strong though, I hope Nani continues his recent good form.

any predictions for tonight's games.....

E AaB 20:45 Villarreal
E Celtic 20:45 Man. United
F Fiorentina 20:45 Bayern
F Lyon 20:45 Steaua
G Arsenal 20:45 Fenerbahçe
G Dynamo Kyiv 20:45 Porto
H BATE 20:45 Zenit
H Real Madrid 20:45 Juventus

dreadful Utd team to be honest

defense is weak (OShea) - which isnt wise infront of a goalie on his 2nd start for the senior team in an away match

midfield is okish but no better, and upfront is a disaster

At least we have good options on the bench
