Yes, Tesco have a stupid £100 limit for Google/Apple Pay which was only raised to £100 from £40 fairly recently. Hence this thread!Maybe tesco is different.

Not sure what the relevance isMost of Europe's contactless limit is €50. Unsure of Apple/Google Pay.
Not when I had zero cash I couldn't, nope. You could have paid 4p in cash.
Yeah, probably. Not in Tesco though.I'm sure I've paid for shops/fuel over £100 with Apple Pay without any issue, but recently it tells me it's over the limit and I have to use my bloody card.
The fuel limit is 120 now for contactless. Used to be 100Not when I had zero cash I couldn't, nope.

Why's are you loyal to a supermarketI ditched Tesco for Asda.
Even though I was a weekly online customer of Tesco's for 13 years from 2007-2020, they never offered me a delivery slot during the lockdowns. However, as a new customer of Asda (never used them before), they offered me a slot every week without fail. So yes there is no such thing as customer loyalty i.e. 13 years vs 0 years, but I have stuck with Asda as of December 2022 (and just renewed my yearly delivery contract) out of principle.
It's also down to the retailer what contactless limit they want to allow, it's just the maximum that is set out in the regulations. The decision to raise the contactless limit from £45 to £100 was made by HM Treasury and the Financial Conduct Authority.
The FCA also confirmed the threshold for multiple contactless transactions before a customer is required to enter their PIN will also rise from £130 to £300.
Google and Apple pay don't have a specific limit, that's down to the retailer.
Except pencils create graphite/lead shavings which is conductive, and can be rubbed out. This whole thread reminds me about a joke.
The American space agency spent millions developing a pen that would work in zero G.
The Russian's just used a pencil......
