Can't you just pay it in 2 parts
Checkout £50 worth & Pay it and then checkout the other £50.04 worth and pay it
Or is there a time limit or something so this wouldn't be possible to do

It does standard but but you can turn that off. Cause I'm with Barclays and paid £1400 to furniture village in one hit.Thinking about it - i would ask, does the card issuer have a mobile contactless transaction limit in place? Certain Barclaycard accounts do (for example)
I have actually just been down to my local tesco after all this cause was interested. They have told me it's fine. £250 is their limit. You just pay via contactless payment at the till.Yet again.
The payment is NOT being declined. If the value on the till is above £100, the option to pay by Apple Pay is NOT offered.
How is this so difficult for you to understand? You keep talking about declined payments and to contact the card issuer but that’s totally and utterly irrelevant when the tills in Tesco do not allow one to use Apple/Google Pay when the transaction is more than £100.
The payment isn’t declined because it’s not offered.
I don’t know how many times I need to repeat this before you read what I’m writing.
Wasn't there a problem some years ago where a lot of people were filling up and then didn't have enough money in their bank account to pay for it..Annoyingly the fuel stations I use most still have their own £45 limit especially with current fuel prices it is a bit LOL.
Video of you paying over £100 on Apply Pay with a loaf of Hovis on your head or I don't believe you.I have actually just been down to my local tesco after all this cause was interested. They have told me it's fine. £250 is their limit. You just pay via contactless payment at the till.
I don't know what you mean by not offered. You pick card and go to your apple pay or Google wallet and tap it against the contactless bit.
You need to contact your card issuer,

What failed payment? Again, you are NOT reading what I've typed? I haven't attempted a payment, the till simply doesn't offer Apple/Google Pay for sums over £100.The usual method to problem solve failed payments
Haha I didn't try it. I don't do £100 a month shopping ever so that's why had no idea. So I just asked the customer service desk. Its the large superstore in Banbury. I don't know if smaller stores have lower limits.Video of you paying over £100 on Apply Pay with a loaf of Hovis on your head or I don't believe you.
You are saying if I send you £100 you'll take a video of you paying with Apple Pay with a Hovis loaf on your head?Haha I didn't try it. If you send me.thr £100 I'm all in though
Yep!You are saying if I send you £100 you'll take a video of you paying with Apple Pay with a Hovis loaf on your head?
It's self checkout, from what I remember, there's a single option for contactless, it doesn't specify Apple Pay, that's all lumped under the same thing. Up until recently, the Apple Pay limit was either £40 or £45 but it was raised to £100. Tesco were slow to raise this limit compared to other retailers. It's the only place I've been to where the Apple Pay limit is the same as contactless, everywhere else I've used it, there's effectively no limit. It still surprises some shop workers who mistakenly think that there is a limit but I've used Apple Pay for purchases well over £1000 in the past. Was this self-checkout or with a human?
I don't recall ever selecting "Apple Pay" at a till.
OK but be sure to have a loaf of hovis on your head so we know it is you for sureWe're doing the rest of our Christmas food shopping tomorrow, I doubt very much if we'll be going over £100 then but I'll take a shot of the checkout where it says what the limit is.
OK let me ask my wife if her boyfriend can lend me £100Yep!
Managed as a family of 4 under 100 for years, it's not that common up North from experience and friends experiences.lol you think? Weekly family shops over a ton are not a recent thing. Try 2 decades ago.

How can it be so cheapOur weekly shop for a family of 4 is around £60-70 depending on what we've run out of. £100 these days I can understand if you're getting a few luxury items on top, but 20 years ago?
Mate. It’s clearly some issue with your local store not a nation wide Tesco policy. It's self checkout, from what I remember, there's a single option for contactless, it doesn't specify Apple Pay, that's all lumped under the same thing.
