The Focus RS isn't going to be 4 wheel drive in the near future as Ford don't have a suitable 4 wheel drive platform.
Looks nice, I just wish they'd used a different name for it - it's not a patch on the original.

They're making 500 of them, it's an RS, so why not.
Original what? Mk1 Focus RS?
The original RS500 was named after the power output of the race car, not the amount made. It seems a bit sad to name a marketing run-out special after such a great car Ford had in the past.
So by that logic the RS200 had 200bhp in the race car and the RS2000 had well, lots.
A minimum 500 Evolution cars were required to be made after the base requirement of 5000 homologation cars.

No, the original RS500.

250ps! Why pay more for less power?

You're forgiven
Ford have been sticking RS badges on tat for loads of years, it's just the tag they add to the 'performance' cars to carry on the heritage, nothing more.
It's been mentioned twice now that the OP is wrong and it's actually 350PS.
I still think they should leave special names like 'RS500' or 'RS200' alone, the 'RS2000' and 'Mexico' mk6(?) escorts were especially annoying.![]()
Also, with the "£35k lolool" brigade, its a special limited run, they cant price it at £30k or under as thats pretty much the price of the normal RS.
