Ford Mustang to be released in EU

Have they released any figures for this ecoboost engine in terms of 0-60, 60-140 or mpg figures?

The car looks very good in my opinion, depending on price I too, am very interested.

£50K? I can get a very nice Merc for that money. I thought the appeal of a Mustand was that it was cheap and had a monster engine.

Spoke to my local dealership today, they hope to know more Wednesday and if they only get one car allocated to them, it's mine. :)

I'd rang them before that was possible and they rang me back months later asking for a 1k deposit to guarantee and hold my 1st place position, I did. :)

I did the same thing, but the dealer phoned me yesterday saying that Ford would be dealing with customers directly and would be taking order details from the first 130 people who registered on the website after the CL final last night.

Here's the mail I got this morning:

"Having spoken to Ford we have been advised to tell our customers tonight that to give the the best chance of securing a vehicle you need to go into ford.com as soon as the champions league final starts as the first 130 people will get contacted by ford this week to confirm what engine you would like and so forth. Hope this helps."

Need to get my £1000 back if Ford are dealing with the initial customers directly. I didn't register on the website last night as I was out at the Championship Playoff final and forgot after all of the celebrations.

That's why I didn't go through a dealership in the end. Plus, none of them actually got back to me anyway so I registered online. It meant i didn't have to fork out £1000 either. It actually says on the T&C on the pre-order page that they'll only allow private customers to register their interest and not businesses/dealerships.

So when do you think actual orders will start to be taken and deliveries made (not from the champions league order)? Seriously considering one, will hopefully have the time to save up a fair chunk of cash for it.

Is it bad that I'm already thinking of what mods I could do to it? :D

Rumours appear to be circulating that the car has gained 300lbs over the previous generation. Could be a combination of IRS and adhering to both US and EU safety requirements.

Not all Ford dealers will be selling these cars. There will be designated "Ford Stores" throughout the UK which are able to sell the Mustang and there wont be many of these "Stores" either which are being rolled out over the next 6-12 months.

Just had a look at the Ford USA and UK websites comparing pricing of the Focus ST.

USA:
Focus ST = $23625 starting MSRP
Focus ST2 = $26130 starting MSRP
Focus ST3 = $28465 starting MSRP

UK:
Focus ST = £21995 OTR
Focus ST2 = £23495 OTR
Focus ST3 = £25495 OTR

So roughly speaking the £price = $price/1.1

So on that basis, the Mustang would be:
EcoBoost $25,995=£23612
GT (V8) $32,925=£29906
GT (V8) 50th Anniversary Edition $46,995=£42687

But I'd say they're going to stick an extra £4-5000 on just because it's a Mustang.

I wonder how much they will hold value on the second hand market, could be very tempting 5-6 years down the line.

I would like the above to be true, but sadly I can't see the V8 being anything less than £35k. :/
