I looked at Einstein and it uses 1 core per gpu. is there any app configs around to reduce cpu usage

before I load some work, what times are people getting with what gpu? amd / NVidia preference matter on this project?

My 290s are doing them in 15 mins, 2 at a time, so effectively 7.5 min. I believe credit to be quite high, 3000 odd per WU but the deadlines are really long, 2 weeks which is not good for a 3 day sprint unless you're on the project already.

I find that my RX480's and my 780m do better with just 1 unit per card. 2 doesn't help much if at all and 3 is significantly slower

For some reason boinc has detected 4 GPUs in my machine when's there's only 2 (no app_config or cc_config running) and subsequently runs 4 instances, it did this on Amicable as well. Though in the case of Einstein it does seem to run quicker with two with my 290s, afterburner shows the GPU usage spiking when running just one.

The 4 GPUs isn't a result of some dark arts in the past to make a project let you have more work than you should have had ?

I've completed a task on my mobile in about 6.5 hours

Claimed credit is showing as 74.86 but still waiting for the wingman to complete it on their i5-4570 CPU @ 3.20GHz iGPU

seems like we are in way over our head with this one, simply not enough AMD gpus on the team. been offered another amd card from a lad in work. a 280x but not sure were I would put it as I have no spare slots right now.

running 2 on less then 1 cpu, times are still good , 15/20mins each using

I've added a 7970 & a 7950.
I now have a theoretical PPD of 2.4 million, that's if my wingmen validated all my work units which of course won't happen.
I'd be happy with a quarter of that ppd for this sprint.
