Fortnite Battle Royale

Started to get into this , as PUBG is pretty stale..
Really fun game, Tough learning curve but the building is awesome. I can see this being the one that actually lasts as it has that 'one more time' appeal to it.

Can't believe this thread is not more active than it is, Much better game than PUBG! Been playing a couple of weeks give or take now getting a little better at the building now, That itself is a massive boost!

It's great fun - find it really addictive too as you just want to jump straight back into another game :D if anyone fancies some Duo's/ squads feel free to add me: swinbag

I've been playing this on Friday nights with a squad of friends, it was hilarious at first especially with the building blunders lol.

*team getting shot at*
"quick build!"
- *builds floor*
"what are you doing?"
- "getting the foundations down"

:D

We're starting to win games now so it's getting more serious but still a laugh.

It's a great game but personally I don't find BR as addictive as games like Overwatch.

first game played and all I can say is WTF? :D

my team had no comms, came 20th and I spent the rest of the time watching people. building shooting running and killing.

No intro to the game mechanics just here's a pickaxe and in you go :D

Play solo drop at a high activity place and you'll soon pick it up, you'll be in and out of games quicker that way.

It's very hard at first, Should be a Fortnite channel on the OCUK discord for this game.

Having only played this for an hour or so a good few months ago and re-installing again tonight, it actually feels much better once you get into it - perhaps the various patches have helped. You can be reasonably competitive with the gun fights it seems if your aim is ok, the building however seems more skillful. Towards end game I seem to loose out a lot to the tower builders who are well equipped. They've noticeably improved the speed at which you get into games now which is a bonus.

Any one here bought into it? As It has like defend mode vs ai doesn't it? Is that any good? I only played battle royal bit briefly

Quite a few that I have seen play it like it however as its a paid for item its not very accessible. Later this year the Standard Edition (versus ai) is meant to be free as well because they are making so much money on this game. Its a very much a playground game also all the kids play it and do all the dance moves. Last week my son (8yrs) got a hat trick @ football and they won 4-1 and after each goal they were all doing the dances from Fortnite. Difference with this is it seems unlike other games that the little ones are actually pretty good at it and better than the adults! I think what put people off is the cartoony type graphics. I've watched my son play it and he's pretty good and can often get down to the last 5. He also liked the sniper only challenge and RPG challenge they did.
