If only they were 5.1 ... :(

Usually when you're making such a big thing about a massive saving, one would usually having it in massive CAPTIALS, such as Gibbo does. Just saying, whatever suits you though, you're the pro.

This is a 'heads up' not the selling thread... You have to WAIT for the price mate, Rich is just giving us a heads up so we can get in there first if we want a pair ;)

Well I am in the market for a new headset and was planning on getting the DT770 but the price drop on these sound great.

Even at sub £100 should I still pick this for gaming over the DT770?

Thanks for the replies guys and the honesty.

These really are cracking headsets (I prefer the open backs personally to keep my head cool which is why I have the 360 but these are far superior in a noisy environment) and the microphones are best in class.

If you haven't tried anything this expensive yet you'll not be disappointed ;-)

Hmm, these can be used with a PS4 right? Interesting.

with one of these yeah

a high end sennheiser headset isnt going to be sub £50. thats just unrealistic.

it will be sub £100 but not by much. still a bargain for the performance on offer.

Ideally you want a source that has a decent headphone amp built in guys.

Note this:

Impedance: 150 Ohms (headphones)

It will work with a normal output but ideally it should be amped to get the best out of them ;)

i.e. I wouldn't recommend using these with a PS4 unless using an amp in between

I've decided against them, from what I can tell they seem to fall apart pretty quickly (seems pretty common on Sennheisers these days). I would imagine they are better than the Goldrings though, as I thought they also had a habit of falling apart?

I'm sure they are fine if you treat them properly, like all things. For me I think I'll be going down the astro mix amp route for the PS4 as I already have perfectly good headphones sitting around not being used.
