150 Ohm headphones as long as you have a headphone amp on your sound card you will be fine.

they should be an improvement as usually usb headphones aren't great.

I got the original PC350 about 3 years ago, still going strong after all this time with daily use(the volume rocker scratches a bit). As mentioned elsewhere, get a mainboard with headphone amp or a soundblaster z or perhaps external amp. These will sound pretty weak from a normal unamplified sound card.

They are the most comfortable headset, I can wear them for 10 hour gaming sessions.

I have had corsair, Logitech, razer etc...they all broke in less than a year and sounded much worse. Sennheiser sure know how to make a good headset. My DJ sennheiser HD25's are 12 years old!

looking at BeyerDynamic DT 770 PRO 80 Ohm and a modmic now after reading the threads, ive got as ive said the razer kraken 7.1 usb surround, and there so uncomfortable, my soundcard has a amp built in which has a seperate power source from the psu, but not sure to get the 80 or 250 ohms, will be used for 70% game and 30% music and teamspeak, the motherboard says it can power upto 6oo ohms i think.

I'd go with 80 Ohm - easier to use in future with other things. Unless everything you want to plug them into to has an amp, then by all means go with the 250 Ohm

Do I need this splitter if I'm using RS 180's with a modmic for xbox one (along with the adapter)? Or can I just get a general Y Splitter? (Sorry if this is the wrong place, this is the closest I've seen to a relevant place for this question!)
