Forum slowdown

I can make it do it every time, just completely close the browser with the forum open.
Open browser again and it's just a black screen have to refresh it manually.

If I was to guess I'd blame the Christmas decorations, even though not visible on mobile, maybe loading anyway?

And there's that horrific click noise on page load, maybe that's all the decorations sounds playing at once?

Noticed it's been intermittently slow over the past week. From various connections, 4/5G, SoGEA and FTTP. Just put it down to old server grinding away. Come on OCUK, DDR is expensive but you must have some in a draw somewhere

Clearing cache helps the issue.

Was getting the problem that others described (android/chrome), cleared browsing data and all working fine.

Also noticing this on mobile. A few times today I had to refresh the page a couple of times.

Don't forget to turn off your VPN after you've enjoyed yourself as vpns I find can slow loading of pages

Without fail the first time I click my bookmark I end up on a black screen.
Can open a new tab/window then it will pop up right away.

I've got the same issue on Chrome 143.0.7499.109 and Android 16 (July 2025 update).
