Forza 2 Demo - Feedback

Will let you guys know what I think when it eventually downloads.................its at 30% and i've been downloading it for nearly an hour now FFS  :( !!!!!

The brakes are too sensitive and that's me playing it with a wheel, i can only go about half the travel on the brake before they lock, so god knows how much travel it is on the pad. TBH i didn't find it that hard turning off all the aids in the lower class or the Porsche 911 turbo.

The AA i think is getting moaned about because they made such a big deal of it. it is even on their web site, still.

Drexel is the RX8 as light in the rear end as it is in this game??

ABS will stop wheels from locking up, doh, it does not stop you from applying full brakes, good grief some of you really need to drive a real car...
Actually ABS will stop you from applying full braking power. ABS only gives you the required braking pressure in any given situation.

The in game brakes do seem over sensitive but i guess you're limited with a pad anyway.

What a load of **** I'm really disappointedd with this game, My GF bought me a wheel not long ago in preparation of FM2 and i doubt it will get much use now!

I don't like the handling, sound, graphics and lack of in car view it just seems like an old game :(

Indeed. The amount of absolute ***** posted recently from a certain couple of members is astonishing. The community here has well and truly gone down the pan.

I think you're getting mixed up with more modern braking systems which have all sorts of names.
But basic ABS does not apply the required braking for any given situation, it simply stops the braking pressure when it senses the wheels have locked up keeps turning them on and off rapidly. So a car with ABS will lock up, but only for a split second.

Doubt he'll lose any sleep over it.

Basically mate ;)

To most people it hardly matters. To someone intent on trying to disprove the game on every opportunity, it's probably page-3 material.

Seriously that should be posted in the "NO AA in final forza game" thread

i saw this game just before being demonstated in the game shop next door to ours. it looked okay... although, there were a few jagged edges. i fear this game isn't going to live up to its hype :( i will buy it though when it finally comes out.

It's not basic ABS you're describing but older ABS. Yes it did work like that, basically it 'pumped' the brake pedal so to speak, nowadays it's all done by the computer. And you said it yourself

'it stops the brake pressure when it senses the wheels have locked up'

If you have only applied half pressure when you hit some gravel and locks up, the ABS won't let you apply anymore will it, hence it stops you from applying full pressure :)

Im gonna have to try out a few more cars but I guess Im just too used to arcade style racers so Im not gonna slate this game as I know its meant to be a racing sim.

My biggest problem was tring to handle the rear wheel drive cars, I could handle the honda Intergra ok and the suberau legacy but really struggled with the others I used like the RX8, Nissan Z and the Zonda.

I thought the graphics were quite nice really and really liked the rear view mirror in one the cars, in car I didnt seem to bad at all but from outside the cars not quite as good graphically.

This is just how I felt about the game and feedback was asked for :D

Going to have to spend a few more hours on the demo to really see if im going to get it or not but if I can get some drift going then its gonna be a really good game for me
