Forza 2 Demo - Feedback

They ain't got much travel though to be fair.

I know, but it really does seem like an on/off switch, there should be much more travel allowed in the trigger to seems 1/4 use of the trigger=full brakes.

TBH i don't know what to make of this demo, plays very smooth but the graphics do like rather ropey on the car, and trackside. If they had to do this to get the 60fps i'd rather they went back to 30fps and improved the detail. Car handling was fine for me.

Ok its a bit of a shocker for me i'm afraid, was expecting more TBH, look wise this isn't much better than the GTHD demo on the PS3, so have been disappointed with both next-gen racers but aleast with GT-HD its still work in progress.

Roll on CM Dirt - lets hope that isn't a disappointment as well

I asked about this with someone who was an avid player on FM1, and aparently you can adjust sensitivity?

All this talk about how bad it is, is putting me off :(

Only thing putting me off is the jaggies :( I really do hope AA will be turned on in the final game. Other than that the game is awesome, runs so smooth and gameplay is very fun.

If the final has AA then the game will look good. Although this is a simulation so why would they sacrifice FPS? The people they cater for aren't overly bothered...although it does look nice imo.

yes if the final has AA it will deffo be better, but when your staring at the backend of your car its not nice to look at its sorta puts you off, also the reflections on the car a plain nasty, although the scratched paint details are nice.

Probably can in the full game, but even in FM1 it never seemed right.

I am really disappointed, this does not look or feel next gen to me

This surely isn't the sort of game that you play in the chase view anyway is it?

the bonnet view is disgusting, in fact there is no good view, think I will have to use the bumper view which seems the least horrible looking as you cant see any of your car :D

Che has replied to someone quoting you over on the FM.net forums.. with

Protip: if you're gonna race without ABS, don't go slamming the brakes (i.e., don't press the left trigger all the way down) -- especially at 100mph. That's a rubbish move. ******** too.
...

Perhaps it's just too realistic.. breathe on the brakes, treat it like a woman.. or maybe that's not the right advice :)

Braking was fine in FM1, tbh it doesnt suprise me Mr Men doesnt like it judging by his previous comments.

What other racing games do you play?

This demo really confirms that PC sim racing is miles ahead of consoles

I'm glad I've got him on ignore tbh. No doubt it's:

1) Oh I'm so glad I've not bought a seat - which would never of been mentioned if Latte hadn't ordered one.

2) The tire noise sucks

3) Handling is rubbish

4) Why even release it

why not, lol, its only a game, if they didn't want you to look from chase view then why put it in, anyway the view from inside would be the same just you'll be looking at the car infront (if your not infront)
