An auction house and trading, not huge amounts of fun there, not dissing the feature, but if that is the best you can come up with i'd rather be racing along in single player than doing all that.

All i am saying is, many people (i know i am not alone here) still preffer single player gaming to online. Yet we get screwed continually. Look at GRAW2 and GRAW for examples of that.
The online community will be huge, but hey, it's your loss.

I can't see how single player and multiplayer is any different in a racing game. The only reason i can see is that they like to be able to dominate the race/game due to the AI.

On any racing game, even on the hardset setting, they are never as quick as a skilled player.

I have a mate who is the same.He just won't play online even though he has the ability. He loves games like Battlefield and Battlefront and also racing games,he just doesn't like playing other people.

probably because if you get the wrong bunch of people racing or in a fps like gears of war, its just pure crap. While if you do get the right bunch of folk i'd say its better than singleplayer totally.

Hopefully Europe includes Ford as I notice there's both the European and American versions of the Focus ST.

Will be interesting to see how the ST handles, and how it adds up to real life.

Asia for me though, get my hands on a DC5,

Wont it be the same as PGR and Starcraft, people getting smashed off first corner and then dropping out of the race half way if they dont see a likely victory.

At least this game has some damage possible in it, definite plus

I dont mind online if you get the right bunch of guys. Saying that i havnt played online a massive amount either but, take notions myself.

If anything im still more of a Time Trial lover and competing against leaderboards than an actual online racer as online races can usually end in rows or the quality of the play is not evenly matched with an end result of not that interesting to play.

These are issues Turn 10 have looked too improve with their aim of trying to ensure closer matching of skills and cars. Who knows with the damage factor and with the PI combined with 300 cars their should be factors to help ensure this game does indeed create good online races.

Those that arnt fans of online, well youd be best to at least try it out for a few nights. It wouldnt be impossible for a Ocuk race camp meeting eh...

I would have thought that those people who don't play online, wouldn't have the requisite Xbox Live package to allow them to try it out for a few nights ;)

Is this a comment you made to try and create an argument?

Im sure many of us have a 48hr code we could give to some people here?
The game may even ship with a free trial period, and i reckon its a good possibility saying as the game is so online community pro-active...

You will need a 360 though ;)

No. And you don't seem to be able to accept that some people do not WANT to play online. Just accept it and let's move on.

I enjoy playing online sometimes, but I find Live is full of cheats, quitters, and ***** Americans who take it far too seriously. And I would say thats about 95% of the time.

Online should be great, but I find it crap due to the people online. Oh the irony!

Paul

I think youll find that my response made it clear i didnt want any attitude or something for you to moan about, further creating an issue just as the first post also stated.

I dont need to accept anything, i simply put forward the idea that it maybe wouldnt be a bad idea to have a OcUK session with someone hosting. Its also going to happen even if your a part of it or not. If you read it as me trying to convince everyone to go online you got it wrong.

As someone else posted for those that dont try the game online then its their loss.

Yes and you have made that same point about a hundred times already. You don't have to keep ramming it down people's throats and throwing your toys out the pram when people say they prefer single player offline play. Every time someone mentions offline or single player you come out with stuff like 'their loss' - give it a rest :)

Oh and before you reply with more bickering - wait. Stop. Don't. Just move on :)
