Forza 2 latest Update and Demo Discussion Thread

I'd be very suprised if Microsoft take into consideration what people are going to occupy themselves with during downtime when scheduling it.

Did anyone else find Che's announcement yesterday strange? Apologising that it wasn't going to make Friday, when we didn't have a bloody clue it was even due then? That said I guess we can take heart that if it was due tomorrow, chances are it'll be with us early part of next week. :)

So how come last downtime they had a cool list of suggested things to do when Live was down, so they obviously do :)

Maybe so, but I'm sure it doesn't affect when they actually schedule it, which was what I specifically said. :p That is rather nice of them though ;)

Ok yeah your probably right, I doubt they do care either :) I dont think they have even said how long the update will take, hopefully it aint 12 hours like usual

I thought a Live update before the game would make more sense. And what the hell is chespace? :confused:

Chespace is a dev on T10.

Surely the game has gone gold if the dev's are playing the full game now? The achievements wouldn't be functioning on a non-certified game...

When Game Reviewers get games they are unsigned copys of the game and they have to be played on a review kit/debug kit. Also if they are wanting to test live funtionalty they have to play on partner net. You cant see them when they play since its on a different network. If you can see them playing on live that means that the game is being played on a retail kit which has to go through cert to get signed and it gets its own title id. So if Xbox Live sees the game that means its done. Also if they change anything it has to go through cert again and it will get a new title id. The only changes that can be made once its launched are title updates. Otherwise you would see the devs with forza 2 on thier list twice.

Oh look how the whole thing blew up again.

I said it ages ago talking about the demo or people asking 6 times a day "whens the demo coming" was pointless, were all annoyed enough as it didnt make April.

As for the June 8th date several online stores also had the date listed prior to MS offically confirming it. "People in the know" thousands were in the know with that one. Expect when the game is announced for gold that in that same announcement will be the Live demo date. Its just my thoughts on how they would go about announcing it.

Then again it could be announced tomorrow, guys wait a week eh...

Yes because MS sent the info to retailers before announcing it publically.
