noooo not usin it on xbox but you can get a XCM's F-1 which basicly converts a wheel to pad if that makes sence.

im just gettin into rFactor just not had time to play as pc at home and xbox and gf's haha so my time atm is on forza

Ah ok, reading back your post that does make more sense lol. It will feel weird at first, I switched from using kb/mouse on lfs to using a dfp but as I said I am the opposite now. Using a pad is weird for me but bearable as I can't justify the cost of a fanetic wheel though I would love one.

Loving forza! Don't regret buying the console for just THIS game alone at all, worth doing to anyone who is thinking about it.

I bought Kinect just for this game because i always use the in-car view and thought moving the drivers head around by moving your own head sounded great.

It's OK with it... but i find it only really works that good if i sit about 2 - 4 foot away from my 46" TV, otherwise i have to turn my head for corners when i dont need to, but when close to a large TV you have to move your head slightly when cornering so it works well then. Sometimes it has trouble tracking if the lighting conditions are not great in the room. In the end i just disabled it. I think Kinect is way more useful with the voice commands and control for the 360's dashboard, or other games that use hand and body movement.

In the same boat. I loved the forza's ive played but i do get bored after a while off drivin games. I played gt5 a lot 1st few months but now its on every other week. Forza would mean buying an xbox,fantch wheel which is big out lay for 1 game. After using a decent wheel for my driving games i just can't go back to pad

I have abs on yet I still find I am triggering it and locking the wheels on pretty much every car at any level of braking. Basically, I can't take any corner without leaving black lines in the breaking zone? I can't remember the quick blast I had on the booth in a shop doing this? Any ideas?

Really don't get what the first part of your sentence is supposed to say, but I think the overall message is "When I'm braking the wheels are locking. Wat do?".

Have you turned ABS off? If you have, then you can't use 100% brake pressure, you just need to gauge how far to press the brake trigger down before the wheels lock. It'll come with experience, and then you'll be able to just hit the sweet spot as an instinct. Try doing a free race, on something with a nice long straight, and just practice getting speed up and pressing the trigger 50%/60%/70%/80% in, until you skid, back off a bit, and keep practising until you hit it every time.

the braking in Forza has been this way since game 1, I am used to it now but still think its very wrong, can be going 200mph and touch the brakes and they lock.

I find driving without ABS much easier in this one - I never managed it before in any Forza game, but there is a much bigger sweet spot for getting it right this time. Try it out for a few laps and I'm sure you'll get used to it. Once you do it's an easy 0.5-0.75 seconds per lap.
