Forza 4

Like I said your welcome to show me otherwise on what my opinion is regards what they have shown so far. Kinect and it's implementation seems to be at the centre of their focus.

So quite rightly I expect it's development within the game to be quite substantial.

You have yet to prove otherwise so are in no position to keep questioning my opinion on the matter or constantly target my posts looking for a debate. Seems your looking for an argument but you won't be getting one.

Okay Kinect has not affected development, Kinect was easy to add and done in 2 days, Kinect does not harm GPU or system resources. The game will be amazing and be miles ahead of every other racing game, it will be the genre defining game of all time.

Prove me wrong :)

You say Kinect is their focus but you can't prove why, nevermind the other info we have about new features, you ignore them and focus on Kinect for some bizarre reason. Did they dismiss the tie in with Pirelli in favour of Kinect, did they not increase the number of cars in the race? Have they not added new tracks and cars, working aero, full cockpits etc etc, you keep telling yourself that the game is focused round Kinect.

I think MS are giving the ability to use Kinect in indie games, you know games made by amateurs in bedrooms, but you seem to think its some massive technical challenge for developers to use in games?

This week, CVG quoted Ubisoft's Frederic Blais refuting comments made that Kinect soaks up an entire core's worth of CPU power: "That's not true at all. I don't really know how much I can talk about it but it's less than one per cent [of the CPU's power], or something like that."

On the other hand, we have one of the key technical architects from Microsoft, Alex Kipman, telling New Scientist magazine that Kinect uses 10-15 per cent of the system's power.

The truth is that for most Kinect titles, Kipman's figures are closer to the money. Two threads of a single Xbox 360 core are used, but only a relatively small percentage of that processor's available CPU time is consumed, and the actual amount of system resources both in terms of processor cycles and RAM used depends entirely on the type of game being made and the capabilities of Kinect the developer is using (in point of fact, a small percentage of GPU resources are also being used).

I stated an opinion as a concern. Not that my opinion was fact.

Ive learned not to trust what ANY developer says / shows until is proven to be in the final game and that's my stance. FM4 has already been used as a cash cow for Kinect. I expect that not to change in upcoming videos and interviews as a primary part of the games development and future marketing.

Again that is an opinion not stating a fact. Pirelli is just further marketing in my eyes just as they used telementry from Mclaren for FM3.

You believed Polyphony :)

Glad you admit your opinions are not based on any sort of fact, that's fine :) I won't bother to debate your fantasy opinions any further ;)

Like I said I'm here to talk about FM4.

How many times now have you or ibert tried to bait me over GT5 already? I've learned not to care for pointless arguments on the matter of what's best etc.

I'm still enjoying it loads and who wouldnt with all my toys and tactile immersion but this isn't the place to discuss it.

None, you have mentioned GT5, Codemasters, iRacing, RFactor, Shift so really how is it baiting......

Then maybe perhaps you could discuss the game in a civil way and not your previous tone and hand picking my comments while ignoring others that raise concerns or question the game.

I'm not even going to bother arguing with you. It spoilt the other thread so I'm just going to let you do your thing.

Have fun.:)

Sorry if already posted, I hadn't seen it before.

Suppose we'll have to wait for E3 to get any real info.

trying to get the topic back OT...

Indeed let's.

Replying to your question.

I really think 16 players will improve the fun and for me was what I'd of liked in FM3 for sure. Id also like more variety in the races and think having new game challenges as DLC is a good way to keep a game fresh.

Shift 2 produces more of an intense or exciting atmosphere so maybe a little more influence in that direction and attributes of real racing. Think improved tyrewear, punctures, race strategy with fuel/pitstops if added would make it a deeper racing experience as well.

What about you?

Their is a version of that circulating that has a guy talking over what it shows. Seen it sometime ago, has swearing so cannot link.
Also think the track hes not sure about with the big grandstand could be the German GP circuit, well thats my guess.
Some of the fantasy tracks look like a big improvement.

He points out some good things though like the short wheel base Mclaren and two new manufacturers.

Some factual comments in the video:
  • 80+ Manufacturers
  • 5 New Locations (the world/map has 5 dots but maybe means nothing)
  • Hundreds of cars & tracks
  • Car Clubs
  • More online interaction than ever before
  • 16 Players inc online
