Forza 5 Announced

Nice surprise :) Road America was a good addition but we have seen it before, if they can bring out even more new tracks then great :D
 
I'm just wondering what Turn 10's definition of "Soon" is. The Marketplace is just coming soon. Forza 6 soon?

Perhaps they ought to stop trying to make more profit from DLC and actually finish the game they shipped?
 
Erm, not sure what your point is there. Road America and Long Beach have both been added at no cost. They are not DLC.

Fair point on the Marketplace, whatever that may be when/if it arrives.
 
A new track, excellent i'll have to start playing this again. I've been spending far too much time on BF4 lately.

I noticed the last update must have fixed some of the badges, the rival's ones now unlock. They also put the 'i own one of these cars' marker in the right garage!

Hmm, strange. Checked Forza earlier and it definitely wasn't there. My XBO is on instant on so it should get updates when they come out? Is there a way to force the XBO to check for updates or to see if its downloading anything?
 
Strange, mine is set to instant on as well. When i started forza it updated, it must have been around 8pm, maybe a bit earlier.

It might be worth setting it to power saving and do a full shutdown? or pull the power for a couple of minutes, maybe that will force the update?

Might do that. I remember having this same issue with the previous track update. I read about the update and wondered why I hadn't got it yet and so checked on Twitter etc and found people had it. Then it seemed that the next time I checked my XBO the update had been downloaded or was being downloaded. That was weird considering I didn't do anything that time to force the update.

Edit: OK, so I changed the power setting and turned the XBO off. Left it for a minute and turned it back on. Still no update or sign of it being downloaded/installed. I did get a pop up message telling me it was here, as in it has been released/announced. :(

Yeah I've got it now. I think I had it the first time I checked. The reason I didn't see it was because the game wasn't showing that I hadn't done any tracks in a series. So say one series had 52 races, it was saying I'd done 52 races. I went into one series and found Long Beach but with a gold square to say I'd won the race when I've never actually taken part in that race. Weird. :confused::o
 
I'm really liking Long Beach, great track!

If anyone is doing the 2hr Endurance Challenge at Long Beach this weekend and using a #12 Chevy DW12, i've shared the tune i'm using.

Filename is 'LongBeach' fast turn-in, good speed, no stalling on the last corner, no need for traction control or any other assists for that matter.

It does seem bugged as some leagues I had completed now show an extra race, which isn't long beach (or Atlanta).
