Does anyone else use simulation steering? Tried earlier and found it very, very hard with the controller as any minor corrections just sent it the other way

Yes, i use Sim steering, i dont use any assists. Have you changed the advanced steering settings to 0-100?

Anyone else find the damage a touch random at best? I took an absolute stinker of an impact straight into a barrier and other than my bonnet crumpling up a bit I was unscathed!

Conversely heading up the hill after turn 2 at Bathurst I'm in a procession of cars and one of them brakes gently and I ever so slowly run into the back of him and suddenly I have suspension and engine damage?! Bad enough to make the car pull right and essentially force a restart

I've noticed it severely penalises you for running into the back of cars. Which can be frustrating when the AI has a habit of brake testing you mid corner if you are following too close..

Still, it discourages banzai moves into corners so I don't find it a problem. I tend not to hit the scenery so I can't help you there

I don't normally hit the scenery but when I do it's usually spectacular!

Still hate the invincible tyres on Bathurst coming down the mountain though, very irritating!

I changed last night to professional with just traction control on, makes a big difference to how i race with damage enabled.

What i didnt like about gran turismo and games like that ive played before was if it was too easy you had to get 1st place and it was no fun, or you made it harder and couldnt progress, now i can play at a higher level, fight for say 6th or 7th and still progress, makes it far more entertaining.

Just tried making a Gulf livery for my 12C, but there doesn't seem to be a way of copying the left side decals to the right like there used to be in older Forzas. Does anyone know how you do it?

Unless you've found a bug it's still as it was previously.

Hmm. I just can't find it. There used to be a 'copy from left/right side' option. Copying all the layers means they don't get positioned properly, and the negative resize trick turns them upside down

Google is bringing up nothing.

Yeh, just go to the other side, insert layer and select copy from other side.

Have you seen a Michelin decal anywhere? It's annoying that it's on the Audi e-tron and you can't use it..

If you're not bothered about selling the livery then I'd be happy to share mine. Although, not sure how decal sharing works exactly at the moment without the marketplace..

OK two more quick whinges about this game:

1) Earlier this evening I managed to roll a car for the first time (A fiesta if you must know

) and honestly? It felt daft through the pad (little to no vibration) and the animation of the car tumbling was dreadful - it just seemed to float endlessly rather than properly smash off the ground :s

2) Is there any race which is ************* ruined by the goddamn ************* sun? It's starting to get on my nerves a touch now. Yes it's a nice bit of lighting effect and makes the cars look good but do we really have to do EVERY race in sunrise/sunset conditions?!

Yesterday my drivatar did 3 races and earned 3,600CR. Today he did 53 races and earned 7,625CR.

I feel a little cheated here.

No idea how it works,got 17,000 other day for 13 races yet 7 odd thousand for 50?
Other thing I've noticed since using unbeatable difficulty my drivatar is used more,but worse payouts,credits aren't really difficult to get ingame so not worried.

There's a update coming next week!! Looks like we get more money from races and car prices will drop. Shame for me since I already have the Mclaren P1 and a few pricey cars, but for the time being I'm going to stop playing until the update hits

I've updated my tunes to version 3 (two car left to update), they all now have much softer setups like i used in Forza 2-4, better turn in and better grip with some weight transfer.

I've only changed the tunes, not any parts it wont cost anyone using a previous tune to try a newer version.
