A shame, grid was very arcadey but so much fun with a wheel. I don't feel like it should have to be a sim to work well with one. It's just nigh on impossible to control feels like the car is floating on ice.
 
Played it on my mates xb1 brilliant brilliant game, and I can play cross platform which is the future, but here is NO WAY I'm paying stupid Win10 prices again after paying £49.99 for Gears4

It depends. If you can swing 60fps, it is fantastic. The game is vastly more enjoyable at 60fps on PC, the gameplay feel is so damn good. But it does crash randomly from time to time. Sometimes I can play 5 hours straight without a crash, while other time it crashes after 20 minutes. But when I reload the game, then it is usually stable again for hours. And since the game saves constantly, I never lost any progress. But it is annoying.
That said, if I had to choose between 60fps with crashes and 30 without, I would go for 60 every time :)

Having just brought the game it is fantastic in regards to detail, It feels that your on a real motorway cruising down past the beaches, in regards to the port from xbox not so great, sudden crashes on particular events or randomly dropping FPS.

The other frustrating thing is seeing cars for sell, that when you go to buy they try and charge you an extra £2 or £3 depending on what car. baring in mind some ppl have paid in excess of £50 this should all be free.

I don't condone DLC if their is value for money i.e. map expansion that include some mountain driving, but what from I've read Microsoft are charging £20/30 on a car pack (Porsche) which is a joke.
 
I've tried the demo and it's great, 60fps and no crashes so can someone explain which version I should be buying, standard, deluxe or ultimate, and do I have to buy blizzard mountain with all of them?

And what's the car pass, do I need to buy that as well or is it included in deluxe/ultimate?

Yeah do I buy the standard for 30 and the mountain and car pass for 15 each = 60

or are they included in the more expensive deluxe/ultimate versions?

The Car Pass is included in the Ultimate, along with some other stuff (VIP and other cars). The Expansion Pass has to be bought separetely if you want Blizzard Mountain and the second expansion.

The Car Pass adds 42 new vehicles delivered in packs of 7 a month over 6 months. There are four packs out already, if I'm not mistaken.

Anyone having any trouble with achievements not unlocking in the xbox app at all, ive got a few that are not unlocking despite them being complete within the game itself, for example, all roads "i know these roads" is 288/288 ingame but in the app stuck at 63% and the bonus board one, im 150/150 but in the app 34%..cant work out how to force it to check etc.
 
I played the game for 40 odd hours and apart from one crash it ran pretty great for me, it did dip below 60 fps in the cities but apart from that it was rock solid. Probably went against the grain and used the dynamic optimisation, set to high. Thought it still looked fantastic.

First experience with horizon and it was great. Possibly posted some thoughts earlier in the thread.

Not sure about the achievements KnightStalker, not ran into the issue. Are there not closer to 500 roads in game? Therefore 288 might be about 63%. The boards one is definitely weird.
 
You might be right on the road count, i just cant seem to get the achievements to unlock, although in saying that ive just unlocked 2 acheivements for the midnight races so it is working, just not tracked a few of them.

High roller is another which should have been unlocked, bought an F40 which is over 1 mil and bought a HE car on the auction house for 2mil too, so something is weird, and no real answer to be found.
