Forza Horizon 3 just shown at E3

Is anyone expecting 1080 60fps on a 970 with Ultra settings, surely not. Especially in such an open world game.

Really enjoying this. Road races I can take them or leave them but the off-road is loads of fun.

Just slowly getting through all the content before upgrading to the next level of festival. I also hate the drifting section it drives me mad but feel I need to get 3 stars on them all.

Won a couple of HE cars one with a nice xp boost on it.

Not sure if I'll be online much this week but from fri to sun I should be free plenty. Get some meet ups and some custom races etc...

Older generation cards performing so bad, and they really shouldn't be. It's weird though, I get much better performance than that on mine, and my res is 1440p.

Game or drivers need some serious love.

whats with the 390 being so far behind on this title vs 480 ?

thought it was about as quick in most titles ? if not sometimes slightly quicker ?

No idea, weird thing is though and this is gospel truth, I get more frames than digital foundry in that video and a far nicer experience on my 390 plus I'm at 1440p where he is at 1080p testing. Maybe the game performs better at higher resolutions.

You guys that want invites to club, can you send me a friend request and a message on Xbox app, makes it easier for me to keep up with who I've invited. Invites to club will be there tomorrow guys.

On a side note, I cruise a lot.....470/488 roads discovered :) game is great, love the dirt racing way more than road racing.

sooo, you like cruising and prefer it dirty ;) I'm sure there is an app for that :p Is that the kind of club you are organising

On another note is the VIP pass worth having? Wondering if I should pick it up before I start playing tomorrow.

Right, got into the meat of the game now, settings:

Frame Rate: 48fps capped. (works wonders, 72+ was too "jumpy")
Vsync: On (I have a Gsync monitor, but Nvidia Control Panel, no idea if it works on "global" for this game? or Geforce Experience?

Motion Blur: On
Frame Smoothing: Off
Dynamic Optimization: Off
----------------------------------------------

Advanced Options

Anisotropic Filtering: 16x
Everything High between here.
MSAA:2X
FXAA: Off
Everything Ultra here and below.

pretty much constant 48fps at 1440p.

Hope that helps.

Had a quick blast before having to go off.

Great fun, want to play more but need some sleep. I am getting the odd hitching which seems common in here - its really frustrating as getting 70-110 fps on ultra + msaa off smooth 99% of the time then occasionally a real jerkyness for a moment as you turn a corner or a random stutter on a straight.

Hope they can fix that because otherwise it looks great!

Tony, any chance you could do a quick run with one 390 @ stock sometime at 1080p and 1440p?

FH3 looks nice, but I'm slightly torn, because I'm getting the impression this title is very much in the arcade/simcade camp rather than a sim.
