Forza Horizon 5 - Mexico

I was not going to get a new GPU, then I found out Forza 5 was coming. One of the few games I buy day one, ultimate addition. I know i will get many hours out of it.

to be honest, im bored with FH4 now, bought it before it was officially out and i no longer play it, if i bought 5 id be bored i think, does anyone feel the same?

Yes. However, I like the idea that different exhausts/intakes/turbos change the engine audio. That's pretty cool. Plus it looks absolutely stunning. Day one purchase for me, despite being quite bored with the Horizon series overall. I'm sure I will get a decent amount of playtime out of it.

Realised I was bored of the format when I started 4, but the location made that worthwhile.

Don't know if I'll bother this time round. Despite the wonderful environments, the racing and events feel increasingly repetitive.

I’ll play it on Game Pass but I won’t buy it.

When’s the next Forza Motorsport due? Much preferred FM7 than FH4.

Have to say that I'd love to have a version of Forza with much bigger maps (i.e. based on reality and not "compressed for playability") and the opportunity to cruise around part of a country

I haven't had time to watch all the videos but is there any mention of improving AI traffic and generally making the world feel more like a real place?

The Horizon games have this really weird disconnect from reality. Nobody would go to a music festival but also watch a bunch of cars racing around. It's a weird idea that I'm surprised they kept through 4 games and seem to be continuing with for the 5th.

There's no major cities or other populated areas that feel real. I know it's not meant to be GTA and they'd be wary of people just running civilians over but it just never feels like a real world to drive around. It's a shame because the driving mechanics, while acardey, are pretty decent. The choice of cars is amazing and the graphics are great. It could just be made a lot better by being a tad less family friendly and a bit more gritty. Somewhere between Horizon and Need For Speed.

+1 I kind of feel the same way from what I've seen of Forza Horizon 5 so far. Looks like Forza Horizon 4 with a Mexican map pack on first impressions. I'm hoping they've managed to do more than just that.

I'm also annoyed that MS have basically binned VR support as that's something I feel could really add to the Forza experience. I'm also hoping they've increased the realism slightly if only to stop people cutting cross country in their supercars on the point to point races.

Weren't they claiming this was gonna be a substantially larger map? Hard to judge scale from that image but it doesn't appear much different to the last two.

100% this, although it took me a few months rather than a few years to get totally bored with it. The same happened with FH3 and I expect the same will happen with FH5 hence why I'll try it on Gamepass to see how visually nice it is, then uninstall in a month when it begins to grate on me. Yes it looks nice but there's always been something about it that just doesn't captivate me. Now, I know it's not meant to be a serious racer, but it really feels so stupid now, designed for the young teenage almost with it's god awful social media aspect forced down your throat all the time.

Just give me a TDU 3, that's all I want, but even then I expect it wont come anywhere near to how good the original TDU was and to some degree even TDU2.
