I guess i'll start the Forza Horizon 5 thread then.

I've got a few tunes, liveries, logos, challenge cards already shared, a lot more will come over time.

Follow me if you want any of that stuff - GT = Mashed

--------------------------------------------
There is a club already setup, search for OCUK in clubs and request access from the owner

Before buying any expensive cars, check the accolade rewards, there are loads of reward cars.

For example

- Lotus Evija = Take part in 20 Forza Horizon Arcade events and complete at least the 1st stage
- Bugatti Veyron SS = play 20 games of Eliminator
- Porsche 918 Spyder = Secure 50 car drops in Eliminator
- Aston Martin Vulcan AMR Pro = Reach Level 125
- Shelby Daytona Coupe = Complete 100 festival playlist activites

Never played a FH game before as I'm fairly new to Xbox, maybe a OCUK club would be a laugh..? Do you have to drive together or can you contribute to an overall club rank type of thing? I can only spend the odd few hours on it per week given work and kids..

I think it just keeps track of overall accolade score for everyone in the club, for speed traps and things in-game, you'll see other club members closest to you flash up with your score/time.

Might be worth doing if enough are interested, there was an Overclockers Xbox club at some point, they are linked to those. Not sure if you can link old clubs though.

Now that photos taken in-game upload to the Forzamotorsport.net photo gallery properly, here are a couple of pics i've taken.

The XR2 was taken in quality mode and the Twerkstallion was taken in performance mode (the mode i play in) on my Series X. I'm not sure it makes much difference for Photo mode.

Fiesta XR2
bc8175bf-2748-4a85-9747-3dfa62205af8

Hoonigan Twerkstallion (get the 1990 Mazda RX7 for completing 3x Super 7 decks, it's free in the mastery unlocks for that car)

What are peoples controller / assist setups? This is my first Forza game and I'm all over the place trying to keep the car from going sideways!

I use the same setup as i have since Forza Motorsport 2.

View - cockpit view or 3rd person (3rd person only for cross country events)

Controller Default 1
- Advanced settings
- handbrake and clutch swapped
- steering, accelerator & brake deadzones all 0 - 100

Difficulty
- Drivatar - Pro (Unbeatable is good but not at all relaxing to play against!)
- ABS - off
- Steering - standard
- Traction control - off
- Stability control - off
- Shifting - manual with clutch (with clutch as A, i just press 2 buttons at the same time with shifts, but can still use the clutch when needed)
- Driving Line - off
- Damage - Cosmetic
- Rewind - on

Those settings give a 90% credit bonus.

A lot of the cars have bad tunes as standard which doesnt help with driving them. As a first step try fitting a racing diff and set it to 30 acceleration and 10 deceleration. That's what i use in most of my RWD tunes.

If I'm honest; I've just been using what the game suggests as a recommendation for each race. I only have 5 cars but I'll use the Cossie going forward to see if that helps.

Thanks for this; I appreciate it's all a personal choice but I'll give anything a go to try an get a consistent drive.

which car is it you're having problems with? i can make a quick tune for it if you want.

EDIT:

I've just made a quick A800 tune for the 2020 Supra. Give it a try if you want (Share Code 313 746 601)

It seems quite well planted to the road to me, it has stock compound tyres, no aero and no weight reduction so handling could be improved way more, but it would be too slow to be competitive then.

I added the big turbo as the car wasn't really fast enough for A class with either better tyres or weight reduction. It tops out at around 190mph now. (197 mph on downhill section on motorway)

I've shared the following quick win blueprint races.

These used to be handy in FH4 for the weekly events if you are short on time, if one of the requirements was to 'win 3 road races' for example.

Basically the AI in all of these races take the proper route, you take the first left turn and drive through the finish line (the wrong way) to win the race in 10-15 seconds. One for each race type.

Quick Win - Road (Share Code 675 824 740)
Quick Win - Dirt (Share Code 148 936 590)
Quick Win - Cross Country (Share Code 268 517 703)
Quick Win - Street Racing (Share Code 318 077 573)

I wont know until we start seeing the new weekly events if these are still useful. They don't class as the 'events' for the win 5x road/dirt/cross country/street racing events for the free reward cars in accolades.

Thanks for this. I was having issues with all cars in truth but I've just spent an hour in-game and changed a few things and did an auto-tune on the Cossie which upped a few stats and managed to win a few races! *cheer*.

I'll try out your tune on the Supra after work. Appreciate the help.

No problem, glad you got some wins :)

If you get gifted a 2020 Supra or Willy's Jeep, go to the car mastery and spend 5 skill points to get the super wheelspin. If you then gift it on to someone else, the mastery resets and you get the skill points refunded the next day.

I did that yesterday and had a refund this morning.

What's the best way to get rid of cars you don't care about? Just "remove from garage" not sure it's worth auctioning them

I'd check the car mastery first and collect any wheelspins/super wheelspins/reward cars available in that car.

Then gift it on to get the skill points refunded. Or put it in the auction house for minimum buyout (not sure if you get skill points refunded this way though) as i haven't listed any in FH5 yet.

Don't spend credits on any of these if you're going to complete the challenges.

Series 1 Reward Cars

Overall
- Mercedes-AMG One
- McLaren F1

Summer
- Delorean DMC-12
- Aston DBS SL
- Mini X-Raid
- Veloster N
- Hoonicorn v2

Autumn
- Honda Civic '84
- Radical RXC
- Lamborghini Murcielago
- BMW X6 M
- Ranger Raptor

Winter
- ID Zerouno
- Subaru 22b
- Ferrari Dino
- Ford GT '05
- Pagani Huayra BC

Spring
- Raesr TS
- Toyota Trueno
- #24 Ferrari P4
- Fiesta XR2 '81
- Jaguar F-Type

Anyone able to share tunes to complete the seasonal events? In comparison to FH4 the seasonal PR stunts have to be done in certain vehicle types, which is making it a bit harder. I can keep using trial and error and buying cars and downloading shared tunes, but thats starting to eat into my credits a lot more than I thought!!

p.s. Added 3 people to my friends list, presumably from this thread.

rp2000

I've shared the tunes for the cars i need to tune for the seasonal's, search Creator for 'Mashed' or follow me and i think my tunes get listed at the start of the list if i have a tune for the car you're in.

They made some changes last night so all seasonal races are locked to 'Highly Skilled', but i completed the Classic Muscle on Unbeatable yesterday before that, it was a challenge!

Nissan GTR '17 things - Not sure i shared my tune, i'll check in a bit - i completed all the requirements, but wasn't 100% happy with the tune
The Trial - B700 Raptor '17 (shared the tune, not the greatest for this as its raining on grass mainly and it's got stock tyres - won on first attempt, only 2 other good players in my team)
Danger Sign - A800 Supra i got in the welcome pack, but added brakes to make it S801 to qualify, start in the woods behind the runway for a longer runup
Drift - i used one of the Formula Drift #34 Supra - no changes to tune
Speed Zone - Stock BMW M5 '12 i had, you can take a long run up and cut the corner quite a bit
Classic Muscle races - B700 Dodge Dart (tune is shared, all power though and its raining so you have to stay awake, lol) - the car is a barn find
Super Hot Hatch races - A800 Focus RS '17(tune is shared)
Modern Sports races - A800 Audi TT RS '10 (tune is shared, offroad suspension, stock tyres)
Treasure Hunt jump - S1 900 Corvette '20 (tune is shared)

EDIT: made some adjustments to allignment and diff on the GTR '17 - turns in better now, shared the tune

Many thanks,

I'll add you to my list tonight . I think I did most of the gtr stuff and 2 of the stunts. Will try your tunes for the seasonal races.

I need to figure out which road race I can use to do 2 awesome drifts in the GTR during a race but that won't cost me anything to trial and error!

P.s. I won the 30 million Shelby in a Wheelspin, but looks like it can only seel for like 3 million in auction. I got one free car voucher. Apart from auctioning my existing Shelby and then using the voucher to get another, any other car I could buy and sell for more profit?

rp2000

No problem, give them a try they may or may not be a good fit for you. Everyone drives differently in Forza games.

The GTR drift i used the track on the east coast of the map as there are a few tight corners to use.

The Shelby is also a reward for completing 100 Forzathon events.

In FH4 Auction's, the sale price used to depend on Tuner & Painter Ranks. If there are any popular paint jobs for it and the player is higher than painter rank 1, apply one and see if the value goes up it will probably be the same in FH5.

I haven't used my car voucher yet, i was waiting to see the reward cars in series 1 first. i might use it on a Ferrari California, E-type lightweight or Ford GT40. I think i've seen the Jag D-type and Auto Union as accolade rewards for something.

You can do whatever you want in any order.

I wanted to stop the annoying cut scenes every time i got a festival upgrade point and then wanted free fast travel to any road.

So I drove every road and got a couple of points at each PR stunt I found. I did most of it in my AWD A-Team van so 2 stars on most things was easy. This was enough for all the festival upgrades.

Then I broke all XP and fast travel boards and bought the house that let's you fast travel to any road.

I'm at level 120 odd without doing any non seasonal races or stories so far.

The car drop rewards cars from the Eliminator are easy to get at the moment due to the server issues. Instead of stopping for a few seconds to disappear from the map. Just drive around and barely see anyone.

If you haven't played this before, just drive to the purple smoke to secure each car drop.

- Porsche 918 Spyder = secure 50 car drops (I think I've managed 8 or 9 in a game)
- Veyron SS = play 20 games
- Hooligan Focus = secure 5 car drops in a game
- Aventador SV = eliminate 2 players (find people in slow cars)

Is there any benefit to scoring more than the required points for the season, or do you just stop when you get enough for both the seasonal bonus cars?

I tried Elimanator but can't really tell what's going on. You don't seem to get much info on the mini map as to where to go, apart from vague arrows. I managed to collect 1 car and then got eliminated.

What's a good general car to complete all the speed traps? I think in FH4 I used an Audi or Ferrari with a X tune, but I don't have enough credits to mess around too much with trial and error!

rp2000

The more series points you get the easier it will to get the 2x Series cars for the month. If there is a snow week, those are the worst for PR stunts.

The Eliminator is just Forzas version of Battle Royale, the arena shrinks, press your horn to race people to knock them out. Then when 10 cars are left (sometimes a few more) there is a final race to somewhere on the map to get the winner. Try to get a high level car before the final race. The highest drop car is level 9, if you beat someone in it you can swap for a level 10 car.

I haven't gone through the speed traps yet, but any car Tuned to X Class should do it easily,
