this may be helpful to those with the hoonigan pack installed.

I have had the same issue as Ringiho, and I found by discovery that if you uninstall the hoonigan pack, then re-install it back again, the game works fine again and the pack is small size wise too.
 
not sure, I use AVG myself, tbh the problems with the game are large, with issues like that.

removed all add ons, removed avast, nothing, strange its not working now after a fresh install of windows, but worked perfectly fine on a 2 year old windows install.

starting to regret my ultimate edition pre order xD

I'll try and reinstall the game, see that gets me anywhere, otherwise i'll probably leave it until a few patches see if it works then, shame.

Update
So, I redownloaded the game without downloading the add ons, it started up great, downloaded the add ons after opening the bare game and it also works, so that's another fix to try if non of the others don't work.

Just got this, enjoying it so far.
One problem though, If I go into a multiplayer section and I alt tab, go back to desktop then go back into the game it shuts the game down, but campaign etc works fine? annoying as hell.
 
Holy **** the Hoonigan Mustang is an absolute monster and a joy to drive in the cockpit view, that sound and acceleration! 1400bhp and two huge turbos.

Standard edition is currently reduced to £32.49 on the official store, what state is the game in right now?

I wanted to buy this at launch but there were lots of problems with just downloading the game on Windows Store and erratic ingame performance.

I honestly find it dull as !!!!, the racing is just meh. I would say Forza 3 Horizon is a far better game imo, much more to do and see.
 
I looked at the official support forum and it still seems to be a mess. I really dont want to buy any games via winblows store anyway - I was a big fan of the older games and am into circuit racers but will avoid this for now:(

Because its different games - one is open world and not really serious,other is pure track racing where every second counts.
Each to they own,but i personally like much more Forza than Horizon,even tho i have all Forzas 1-7 and all Horizons 1-3.I Besides,Horizons physics while based on Forza are gimped to be more arcadish,which suits Horizons style of course
