Forza Motorsport / 7

are you GT3071 on gtplanet?

E: I want to get more involved online but the long practice sessions and what not annoy me. Its not that they are pointless, they are a good idea to get used to tracks and cars etc, but sometimes I dont have the time spare to add 20 mins or so onto a 15 minute race. Much prefer private races. So feel free to add me to xbox live, sharples1975

Yeah GT3071-r is my PS5 gamertag (it's the turbo i fitted on my mr2), Mashed on Xbox.

I'll add you later, i'm working my way through the career at the moment leveling up some cars, raced a bit online, i actually prefer it to the old hoppers.

Can you change your car during a builders cup? I am on the second cup (can't remember which one) and I chose the Nissan Z. Bad move. I cannot handle it at all. I have installed all the parts for handling, tuned using forzatune Pro app which made a massive positive difference but the back end just keeps losing it when I put any amount of acceleration down. I am currently on the maple valley full circuit and I cant even get 3 laps completed to actually race as its juts frustrating me so much.

No you choose one car per class\cup and have to use that, I thought it would be nice to swap midway, good handling car then fast one etc

I don't have that car, i used the GR Supra i think.

Does that Nissan have loads of power and tiny tyres or something odd about it? Try tuning it yourself on a few laps round Catalunya GP for a general tune, if it's that bad after using some tune app, the app can't be that good TBH.

Maple Valley is all fast flowing corners, so should be fun in any car.

the app works wonders for all the other cars I have tuned using it. I will have a look at it again in a bit.

Edit: Ah, might having TCS off have anything to do with it? I turned it of for some reason for another car/race/testing.
Edit2: there could be a chance I inputted some details wrong in the app for it to spew out the settings. A simple error like wrong weight of the car or FWd/RWD settign will make the tuning all wrong. I will double check that later too

Started that tonight. I also managed to sort out the issue with that Nissan Z. It was that I turned off the tractions and stability control stuff. Stuck them back on and won that series. Still twitchy on the backside though. Anyway no need to use that car again.

Finally got this working with my wheel and pedals yesterday after a couple of failed attempts. Needed quite a few tweaks to get it to work.

Have now finished the first couple of wee championships and am enjoying it. Force feedback can be a bit vague at times but its manageable. Not done any online races yet as I want to clean my act up on the single player side but so far so good.

A bit of a change from a proper sim (iRacing) but its fun, though there are some game crashing to resolve and i think the game looks absolute a$$.

Really boating along now. Prestige :D

How is the game? Worth buying or better avoided for the time being?
I wasn't impressed at first but it's getting better, the core racing and handling seems solid, Solo at least, runs fine 4k on my machine 70-80fps. If you can get it cheap it's recommended for me. It's more arcade and sim than the other way around but not as arcade as horizon need for speed etc
