Foxes

wow thanks. I think thats the first person ever on the boards who's said anything nice to me.

No problem, I respect anyone who has the sense to speak out against the completely over the top, almost caricature-like group that is the 'MOH trio'.

Words fail me sometimes, they can turn the atmosphere of any thread into one of contention in a single post. I really hope they don't do the same in real-life, I don't know a single person that wouldn't either tell them to shut up or just make a quick escape. :D

Phykell, your supposed moralistic perfection and loathesome preaching is sickening.
Attacking me again rather than my argument? Moralistic perfection? Not wanting to kill defenceless animals? Bloody hell, if you think that's moralistic perfection I despair, I truly do.

My refusal to answer any of your questions, stems from your refusal to answer mine. What courtesy should I show you that you won't show me?
The DIFFERENCE is that the questions you were asking me were personal ones, such as details of where I live, where I was brought up, etc. You simply do not need to know and I'm not prepared to go into personal details just for you then attack *me* personally rather than my opinion.

And yes I acknoledge that I kill defenceless creatures, but you dont. So i take it as a fact that you do not own a car and have never eaten from a fast food restaurant and that you are a vegan. If not.. where the hell do you get off judging others?
I don't aim my car at animals deliberately (and yes I know what you actually mean) and I don't eat from fast food restaurants. I have in the past of course (not the aiming my car), but that was a long time ago. Regarding my eating habits, if this was a thread about vegetarianism/diet, I'd be happy to go into details, but it isn't and I won't because it's irrelevant.

oh and imo, where you live has a HUGE impact on your understanding of the environment around you, and your attitudes towards it.
Perhaps you're right but like many other people I tend to leave the house now and then you know :p

:D It's Richdog and his bag of McCain fries on his shoulder... (I'm joking)

Thanks for lumping me together with, I presume, CBS and (shudder) Virii. We're all like peas in a pod you know ;)

McCains? Dont be ridiculous man they're oven chips! Only homemade and deep-fried for me. :D

And I take back what I said earlier, you're probably not quite so bad as the other two. :p

I beg to differ, I went out into my garden in the early hours and found a dead cat that was ripped apart, a fox is the only thing that could have done it because we always get foxes in our garden. My suggestion is buy a .22 air rifle and shoot the thing.

I don't rate your chances of killing a fox with an air rifle very highly.
It might die a long drawn out death from lead poisoning or an infected wound but I feel it unlikley that you'll kill a fox with a legal air rifle (unless perhaps you've got a FAC and a seriously uprated spring).

Thanks for that. I was worried I'd end up in some sort of "cadre" with them!

Oh noes!!1 one of them heard you!

It'd have to be a very lucky shot like in the eye or something, as you say thay're not really suitable for creatures as large as a fox. Mostly squirrels and maybe the odd wabbit.

Is that actually right? I'd always understood that a .22 was the rifle of choice for hunting rabbits and foxes. Obviously, my experience is somewhat lacking in this area of course ;)

are you actually comparing hunting for food, to rape?

and tbh the urge to hunt and gather is normal, the urge (if it can be described as an urge)you talk about is a symptom of a mental sickness.

Did you eat the foxes too ? Fox stew? Not tried that myself, make a mean rabbit pie though.

I used to eat rabbit pie and rabbit curry as a kid, made by my Irish Grandad. Very nice :) Poor bunnies though :(

Hehehe. Don't deny it Phykell, we're brothers, we believe in identical things, we haven't spent most of our time in speakers corner disagreeing on religion, immigration, hunting or anything else.

I have to say I agree with Balddog who was suprised to hear nanas love for hunting.

Is there any chance you could stop with your unprovoked personal insults?
I find your inability to not launch a dig at me and CBS in every thread to be about as pathetic and childish as it is possible to be.
Grow up.

Rifle sure, air rifle - not for a fox.

We had a dozen rabbits hanging up in the butchers window last saturday. My little girl said "hey Daddy, look rabbits, upside down".

A .22 rifle is, a .22 air rifle is not. Huge difference between the two.
