FPS players: How many of you use the arrow keys to move ??

First time i ever used arrow keys was for Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II [first game ever played on PC], once i played MoH:AA, i've used WASD ever since.
 
Never been an 'arrow key' man. Even in the olden days of Doom, Rise of the Triads, Shadow Warrior, Duke 3D etc. I was a P,L,Z,X man.

When Quake came out a few of my friends were using WASD and were kicking my butt so I forced myself to learn WASD and once I got used to it I was much better, especially for using a mouse at the same time obviously :)
 
Another leftie using arrow keys for movement. What else can a left-hander use? IJKL or even PL;' I guess would be an alternative, but still feels a bit cramped with the mouse too close-by.

I have Del and PgDn for lean in games that have it.
End for use.
Numpad . for reload.
Numpad 0 for jump.
Right ctrl for crouch.
Right shift for sprint.
Enter for melee.
Numpad 1 for zoom or other weapon function not covered by 2nd mouse button.
Other numpad keys for select weapon/ability.

Of course, that's still fewer keys in easy reach that with WASD, but it's usually enough. For games with more bindings, I end up using Ins, Home, PgUP, numpad Enter, #, [, ], etc. And that does suck, I guess.
 
I used to play a half life 1 mod called Firearms, got fairly decent at it using the arrow keys (not numpad arrows) until i found out most people were using WASD.

Took me a week to get used to it but it improved my game so much people were spreading rumours i was cheating :cool: (getting a pc that didn't suck at the same time helped too)
 
I use the arrow keys :o

despite much ridicule, I just cant get into wasd, but i do alright with the ol' arrows so its no problem

If that picture were true, WASD would be in Delta operator kit wielding the latest military hardware, laser designating a cruise missile to the Arrow keys which would have one on crutches jimmy style, one in a wheelchair, one urinating itself and the other having attempted to fled, tripped over it's own shoe laces and be laying face down.
 
My clanleader uses arrow keys and hes one of the best FPS players I know.

I can't be doing with that though, WASD all the way. I used to be a wierdo and have jump as scroll up on the mouse, but comp TF2 beat that out of me when I was missing jumps during rollouts :D.
