Free Shipping for Loyal Forum Members

I've probably saved £250+ since getting the loyal membership benefits.

I love Overclockers UK, please don't ever change.

Wow, you must have ordered a lot, to add to your savings you now get cashback on Quidco! On the rest of my Folding gear the total is £324.05, £11.75 delivery. That is reasonable for Nextday and an excellent service from OcUK., the DPD predictive delivery is priceless even if you did have to pay.

Northern Ireland here. I was somewhat disappointed that i couldn't get free delivery. However in the past 9 years delivery charges of some companies, including OcUK, decreased significantly.

However SOME companies still choose to charge upwards of 20 quid to deliver small/ish parcels to uk. Which is unacceptable. I often have to shop for things at amazon or ebay just to avoid excessively extortionate surcharges.

I would really appreciate further decreases in shipping fees...

Also, +1 to "I like that bit" :D

just my moan for today...

us loyal members / customers in NI used to get free shipping, but not any more.
Oc try hard to get us the best deal for shipping, or at least i think they say so !!

Why is it I can ship back to OC (RMA) (RM SD insured) they get it next day!
yet OC charge more for sending it to me ? OK I know some people dont like Royal mail and prefer DPD.

But as I sit here at the minute (Tue 22nd) tracking an order from OC with DPD that I ordered on the Fri 18th, DPD tracking states it is sitting at Birmingham sortation hub !

Maybe some would say its my own fault for selecting DPD and maybe it is.
But if I now have to pay (and I did) for shipping using a 2day service then I expect to have it in 2 days.

And this is not a one off, before someone says its maybe a bit of snow that held things up.

Next time think I will use the option for Royal mail SD even though this and the option for dpd still costs me more than it would cost me to send it back !!!

Sorry if some of you think im wrong, but other places can offer free shipping at around the same price for components so I really find it hard to see how OC try hard to get us the best deal !

Think someone slipped with the hairibo (sp) there was 5 bags in mine :D for all of 5 seconds ;)
Very quick delivery for my stuff considering the weather here :)

I had used Quidco for my cashback for a basket total of £169 a fortnight ago and it didn't track to get £5 cashback. Even though I used IE and cleaned my temporary files/cookies/history beforehand.

Normally with Quidco you could raise a cashback claim but if it didn't track it, even though it forwarded me from the website, they say there's nothing they can do and hard luck. Luckily I get free postage and their legendary service :)

The only bit of advice I could give looking back is to make sure the popup from Quidco says it is tracking your purchase when it forwards you to Overclockers.

Whilst the free delivery option is good, unless you are off on the day delivery then it's a bit of a waste of time. My local DPD depot is over thirty miles away and using their pathetic automated call line gets my goat every time. :-(.
Why is it so difficult to speak to someone about my missed delivery, instead of the first question to be asked being "would you like to upgrade your delivery".
Third time I have used a retailer that uses them and have had the same trouble every time.Never again!!
