Well, if you are buying a whole PC it might just be worth leaving a message in the OcUK Customer Service thread and (as it's near Christmas) you might just find that one of the lovely moderators in there will be able to sort something out for you! :)

Couriers etc. (and presumably Overclockers themselves) are only going to get busier each day now, as the 'big day' approaches.

Just about to place an order (motherboard, cpu and ram), I registered a new account and linked it to my forum details. I've opted to pay via PayPal and about to click continue in paypal... there doesn't appear to be any postage details so does this mean I've FREE shipping ok? Cheers

EDIT: Guess not :( £9.50

That will be why, it used to be £15 for 2 Day Services, however we have reduced it, we cannot honour free delivery at the moment unfortunately. This only applies to Next Day delivery services.

ii qualify for free shipping but can't see an option to get it when ordering . where "should" it appear ? is there a minimum order ?

You have to link your 'Forum Account' to your actual Account as per the first post:
"Login to the OcUK Website
Go to You are Your Account and scroll down to the "Forums Account" section and enter your Forums Username and Password
Press Update
Order with free shipping"

So far as I know there is no minimum order, but it is not usually available on prices which have already been reduced, such as "Today Only" offers etc.

I just noticed that you dont class Highlands as part of the mainland, im sorry where is the ocean between me and you, so much for loyal membership.

lulz...

Only OcUK that does that of course, never noticed any other retailers doing the same thing?

Surely it's also going to be dictated by the courier the company uses, most I've seen exclude anything that isn't mainland OR the Scottish Highlands from special delivery rates.

Two day services used to cost £15 per delivery, it now cost the same as the normal Next Day delivery. We reduced the cost by half.

We cannot do it for free unfortunately, it just does not work as it is too expensive to cover the costs due to the distance.

The further you are from us, of course the higher the delivery costs... No matter where you shop.

Inverness isnt exactly as fas as Thurso, A lot of other companies manage to do it for free delivery, it just takes an extra day.

I bought monitor(other well known tech website) the other day and opted for free delivery as 3 working days delivery was going to cost £8, It turned up this morning delivered by parcelforce, dispatched on Thursday. Free!

We do not use Parcelforce, and we have our reasons why which I will not mention here. :)

Sorry that we cannot offer this as a free service to you yet.
