Free Shipping for Loyal Forum Members

Yeah, we've floated out to sea and become a difficult, remote location. :(
No free shipping, and 2 days Eire and Scottish Islands service... Lame.

On the plus side, there have been a couple of impulse buying decisions I've held off on. :D

LOL yeh probably xD would be a shame if he was that petty but yaknow how it is :P

** Any further 'off topic' posts and you will be treated as a spammer **

ON TOPIC however, I wonder if the free delivery will be coming to all members through a loyalty scheme or something, would be nice for those of us who hate forums but love the company.

Personally I think there's probably a case that perks like free shipping and members market ought to be done via spend as well forums posting.

Has Aberdeen now been dropped from the free shipping?

This happened when DPD took over. The same thing happened at the two other retailers that I used to get free shipping with when they changed to DPD. I am really fed up with this now. It used to be the case that anything that could fit in a Jiffy bag or cost less than £50 we could still get free delivery via Royal Mail but even this isn't happening any more. Last week I tried to order a water block which was around £46. Got to checkout and crappy DPD 2 day delivery for £7.95 or RMSD for £8.95, no free delivery. I went elsewhere and got it delivered next day for £50. Ten fans that cost a total of £30, same thing. NZXT Grid fan hub which costs £9.95, got to checkout and no free delivery only DPD 2 day at £8.95 or RMSD for a stupid £11.95. I mean, WTF??? I went elsewhere and got it delivered next day for a tenner. Yesterday I needed a new rad as my PA120.3 has corroded inside somehow. As Specialtech has gone bust I didn't have a lot of choice this time so got the Coolgate G2 360mm from here and got to the checkout and DPD was £7.25 or RMSD was £8.95 which I went for as I wanted it quickly. Why the hell is a rad weighing 1.65kg cheaper to post than a tiny fan hub that weighs next to nothing and costs less than a sixth to purchase?

This is costing OCUK sales and I only got the rad here because I had little choice. Most of the time I will check here first and if I get free delivery I will place the order. If not I will go elsewhere and even paying for delivery I will get it cheaper and quicker than from here. It wouldn't be quite so bad if it was a next day service but DPD only does a 2 day service up here and we don't get email updates or a time slot because DPD sub contracts it out to another firm for the actual delivery. We are going backwards here and it's not good enough.

Was supposed to have a delivery from OCUK today between 1.44 and 2.44. 5 o clock and there's nothing. Dpd site returns tracking with;

We were unable to deliver your parcel as there was no one present to sign for the delivery. The latest status of your parcel will be shown here.

Lying *******s. I've been in all day. And there's not even a card in the post box to say "we called but you weren't in".

Edit: Holy ****. Not even joking as soon as I'd pressed post on the above there was a knock on the door and it was the delivery man. Either their tracking is screwed or the driver is determined to empty the van before going home.

i find dpd to be really good we have 2+ deliverys every week from them and they text about an hour b4 they arrive so we can make sure we are in

Never been sorted here. No free or next day delivery at all (for heavy items or more than £50 and it would appear not even the light, cheap stuff now either) since DPD took over. Most of my bulky items come from Amazon now.

I've only ever had one delivery problem from DPD but they are usually spot on as are the drivers. If I ever had a choice of courier I would always opt for DPD.

Make that two, idiots got the parcel halfway to me and then decided to return the parcel to London. Got straight on the phone and to their credit were very apologetic however they can't get it to me until Monday now because it has to be re-routed. Going to call the company I bought it from because this is the third issue I've had with my order and when Monday arrives it will have been 8 days for an item that should have been with me with 2-3 days max. :(

Great news, OCUK is my preferred supplier anyway so let's get posting :)

It would be nice to see some consideration of total spend as well as time and postings to qualify!

That's actually an interesting idea. I suppose it's more in OcUK's interest for them to give free shipping to someone spending £1,000pa+ rather than someone who spents £10pa but posts a lot on the forums?

Then it wouldn't be called "Free Shipping for Loyal FORUM Members", would be more "Free Shipping for loyal people who spend £££££ at our store each month" :p

Just had two deliveries this week from DPD. Absolutely spot on with the timing and delivered before midday. Well done.

Very valid point but no reason why they can't add additional qualifying criteria.

How about offering a more limited period of free shipping for someone if their delivery fails to turn up on time?
