Placed an order yesterday at 10:44 am with the next day delivery and just checked the pdp site and see this 01 Jun 2010 parcel - dpd next day 02 Jun 2010 12:45 Southampton Unable to deliver, insufficient time available :mad:

So they have decided before 1 that there isnt enough time to deliver my items.

Similar here, site says insufficient time available, on a previous order they claimed there is no access to my flat when there is 24 hr security and the ability to call my flat from outside the building.
 
Usually means that they're hard pressed for time, or they've been caught up in traffic or something like that - doesn't mean they've stood outside the place you live for a good 20 seconds saying "Oh well, nobody is answering..I cannot stay any longerrr!"
 
So I missed a delivery today (actually dpd didin't even ring the bell!!). I take it the next working day for delivery is tomorrow (saturday)? I ask cos usually Saturday deliveries are more expensive and was wondering if they re-attempt free delivery on this day?

Bit late but if you ring them and shout loud enough and get a superviser on the case you will get sat am delivery.
