In Stoke it was relatively easy for me to get to, but it's a bit further out on High Carr business park so the free shipping is great!

same here, and if i buy a large case for under £45 like a antec 300 its free shipping but as soon as i add thermal paste to the order to take it just over£50 i get charged full price for shipping to the highlands. My house is just below the border of the highlands and every where else dosn't class me as the highlands. Dosn't make sense large item like a case i get free shipping yet if i buy a oem cpu i get charged full wack for a small item . Go figure it out!!

I think you misunderstood the highlands/island part....

what's strange is that it only seems to be sites selling computer parts that dig the arm in.

and i dunno if it's linked but all the local shops selling computer bits, including some of the big names, not only charge a bomb for stuff but also carry hardly any decent stock, if any at all.

It would seem that i am also classed as Highlands and Islands now even though i was'nt before. OCUK has lost out on over £400 of orders from me over the last couple of months. The first was a couple of months ago for my HannsG 27.5" widescreen monitor (£272 at the time) and last week for a Asus Zonar D2 plus a couple of other bit's (139). Both orders wanted £12 for shipping so i just went elsewhere where i do get free shipping or they cost the same or less than here including shipping.
