I was saying that it would be great if we could just get a little discount off what the full price is. just checked the delivery options - glad to see dhl there because (at least in the south uk) DPD are extreemly unreliable, rude and take no care of there packages whatsoever - iv had 1 problem with them form ocuk to my home address and many problems to my shop (30 miles apart). Last time i had to pick a parcel up (from what can be best described as a run down shack) the 3 people infront of me were all complaining. Im quite surprised you still use them tbh as i know ocuk pride them selfs for the service they deliver. Everything (bar DPD) has always been top notch - eg, after sales, rma, help/support etc.


Anyhoo, thats my post count up a couple moor towards the 100 goal b4 i next order :p

I don't really think you can generalise as much as that, as it sems to me that in this case the problem is down to one individual (bad) delivery driver, and I don't think is representative of the company as a whole.

The majority of OcUK's customers seem to be more than happy with DPD... far more than with DX Secure, or whatever they are called anyway.
 
I was wondering what exactly is the courier used for free shipping atm? because I just updated my account because im about to order a whole new machine in the next month or 2 and tested it and the only free shipping I see was DX secure?

You have had a few issues and you state the entire south of the uk are affected? :rolleyes:

Ilive in the south of the UK and DPD have delivered on time and with courtesy for years. The Newbury depot anyway.

I'm about ready to order a Synology DS211J - I need it delivered for tomorrow - If I order with free delivery - Is there any chance I'll get it tomorrow?

Unfortunately (Not for me :p), I've found prices for the hardware and delivery tomorrow cheaper on two other sites - but if I get free delivery here it'll be cheapest here.

Bit cheeky I know - but you don't ask you don't get :p
